JASON S. GARBER is the resident partner of the Maryland office of Reger Rizzo & Darnall, LLP, working previously in the firm's Philadelphia office. His practice centers on construction law, liability defense, and insurance coverage cases, as well as commercial disputes. Mr. Garber is licensed to practice in the state courts of Maryland, Pennsylvania, District of Columbia, and New Jersey, and the federal courts of the District of Maryland, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and District of District of Columbia. He also is a settlement conference officer of the District Court of Maryland. Mr. Garber is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (Construction Law Committee) and the Baltimore County Bar Association (Negligence Section). Prior to joining Reger Rizzo & Darnall, he focused on criminal defense and Penndot matters while in private practice in Philadelphia and as a Deputy Public Defender in Bucks County. Mr. Garber has presented lectures to various groups and organizations on several aspects of civil litigation and general contract law. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Delaware and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law. BRETT J. LEAN is an attorney with the law firm of Burns White, LLC, where he focuses his litigation practice on long-term care and medical and nursing home malpractice defense. He also has experience with commercial litigation, professional liability, and labor and employment law. Mr. Lean earned his B.A. degree from Muhlenberg College and his J.D. degree from the New York Law School. He is admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania and New Jersey courts, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Middle and Eastern districts of Pennsylvania. MICHAEL D. SHAFFER is a partner at Schaffer & Gaier, L.L.C. in Philadelphia. He has more than 15 years of experience in litigation practice, including contract, collection, criminal, construction, employment, medical malpractice, product liability and general personal injury matters. Mr. Shaffer has served as Judge Pro Tem and is a published author in his profession. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association (young lawyers division, executive committee), the Philadelphia Bar Association Professional Development Committee (chairman) and the Temple American Inn of Courts. Mr. Shaffer earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University and his J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law.
