JOHN R. BACHOFNER is a shareholder in the Vancouver office of Bullivant Houser Bailey PC, with offices in Oregon, Washington, California and Nevada. He practices in the areas of Oregon and Washington business litigation, bankruptcy, creditors' rights and insurance coverage. Mr. Bachofner is an author and lecturer at seminars, insurance and bar-sponsored events on topics relating to his areas of practice. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar, the Washington State Bar Association and the Multnomah County and Clark County bar associations. Mr. Bachofner earned his B.A. degree from Pacific Lutheran University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Puget Sound School of Law. BARRY J. GOEHLER is the managing attorney of the Portland Office of Nationwide Insurance's Trial Division. His practice involves defending those insured by Nationwide companies, as well as first party defense of Nationwide companies. Before taking this position in 2010, he was a partner with the firm of Lehner & Rodrigues, PC, where his practice focused on insurance defense. Prior to establishing a civil litigation practice in Portland, Oregon, Mr. Goehler served in the Navy's JAG Corps and retired after a 20-year career. His broad experience included work in the following areas: criminal defense and prosecution; international and operational law; environmental law; administrative law; and, ethics and professional responsibility. Mr. Goehler is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the Oregon State Bar. He earned his B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of San Diego and his LL.M. degree, with highest honors, in environmental law, from George Washington University. TOM KRANOVICH is a member in the law firm of Kranovich & Lucero, LLC. Mr. Kranovich has been an attorney for more than 28 years and has developed and resolved cases covering a wide range of legal issues. He has done both plaintiff and defense work on bodily injury and property damage claims as well as plaintiff and defense work on coverage issues. He has represented individuals, insurance companies and self insured entities. His clients have ranged from large corporations to public bodies to individuals with and without insurance coverage. Mr. Kranovich is admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, The United States District Court for the District of Oregon and the Oregon State Bar. He belongs to the Multnomah and Clackamas County bar associations, the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, OWLS and the OSB Diversity Section. He is a past president of the Clackamas County Bar Association, was a pro tempore circuit court judge in Clackamas County for ten years and currently is a member of the Oregon State Bar Board of Governors. Mr. Kranovich earned his B. Mus and M. Mus. degrees from the University of Oregon and his J.D. degree from Lewis & Clark College. DAVID W. PENOYER is a sole practitioner in Lake Oswego. Mr. Penoyer has been an attorney for eight years and his practice areas include plaintiff's personal injury, wrongful death, UIM/UM, property losses, employment law, and general litigation. He is an adjunct instructor at Marylhurst University, where he teaches various courses for students in the business program. Mr. Penoyer is admitted to practice in Oregon and California and is a member of the Multnomah County Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.
