EDWARD L. (TED) SIMPSON is an attorney with the law firm of Samuels Yoelin Kantor LLP, where he helps individuals and small business owners build, protect and distribute wealth. Mr. Simpson is one of only four attorneys in Oregon to be named a 'Rising Star' in the area of estate planning and probate for 2008. He focuses on asset protection, estate planning and taxation, as well as business law and employee benefits. After graduating with honors from Eastern Washington University, Mr. Simpson earned his J.D. degree from Gonzaga University School of Law. He then received his LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in Oregon, Washington and Alaska. From 2000 to 2010, Mr. Simpson was a member of the Board of Directors of CCI Enterprises, Inc., a non-profit rehabilitation service organization providing vocational training, job placement and employment services to people with disabilities. During his tenure as president of the board, CCI adopted a strategy of growth and self-sufficiency, raising $450,000 to remodel a retirement center for people with disabilities. Mr. Simpson currently serves on the Endowment Committee of the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He speaks regularly to attorneys, CPAs and financial advisors on the topics of estate planning and asset protection. He also has published articles on these subjects and is a contributor to WealthLawBlog.com. CHRISTOPHER L. THOMPSON is a member of The Larson Law Firm, P.C., in West Linn, where he practices in the areas of trust administration, probate, estate planning and business organizations. He earned his B.A. degree from Washington State University and his J.D. degree from the University of California School of Law at Los Angeles. Mr. Thompson is a member of the Multnomah County Bar Association, the Oregon State Bar, the Washington State Bar Association, the State Bar of California and the U.S. Supreme Court. JUNE M. WIYRICK FLORES is a member of the firm of Ater Wynne LLP, where her practice is focused on estate planning, asset protection and wealth preservation. She earned her B.A. degree from Eastern Washington University and her J.D. degree from Northwestern School of Law.
