MICHAEL L. COOPER has been a sole practitioner from 1984 to 2007 and co-founded the law firm of Bevans & Cooper LLC with Russell D. Bevans and Christopher D. Bevans in 2007. He has a general practice with an emphasis on estate planning, business, corporations, personal injury, real estate, probate, and contracts. Mr. Cooper has been a speaker at seminars on such topics as "Estate Planning; Wills and Trusts," and the "Clergy and the Law." Since 2000 he has served as a member of the executive committee of the Sole and Small Firm Practitioners Section of the Oregon State Bar and served as the 2002 chair for the section. Mr. Green is licensed to practice law in Oregon and California. He has lectured locally and nationally on estate-related topics, including courses in trust-based estate planning, the intersection of personal injury law and estate administration, and legal ethics during estate administration. Mr. Green is a member of the Oregon State Bar (Estate Planning and Administration Section), State Bar of California (Trusts and Estates Section) and WealthCounsel. He earned his B.A. degree from Brigham Young University and his J.D. degree from the University of Iowa College of Law. (Eugene and Portland locations) JENNIFER POTTER is a partner at the Soto Law Firm, P.C., where her practice focuses on estate planning for taxable and non-taxable estates, including revocable living trusts, irrevocable trusts, wills, special needs trusts, powers of attorney, trust administration, probate, and planning for probate avoidance. She also practices in the area of elder law, and provides services with regard to Medicaid planning, guardianships and conservatorships, and income cap trusts. Ms. Potter graduated, cum laude, from Western Oregon University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then graduated with her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Willamette University College of Law. She is a board member of the Rotary Club of Albany, and an active member of the Linn-Benton Women Lawyers group and the Professional Women's Association and Corvallis Professional Women's Association. Ms. Potter is a member of WealthCounsel, the Linn-Benton County Bar Association, and the Oregon State Bar Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Real Estate and Land Use sections. His main areas of practice are estate planning, business planning, taxation and trust and estate administration. Mr. Wieland represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service in examinations, administrative appeals and collection proceedings. He earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of Portland, his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law where he was awarded Order of Barristers and his LL.M in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law.
