AARON D. GOLDSTEIN is an attorney with Ball Janik LLP. His principal areas of practice are commercial litigation, employment law, government contracts and insurance recovery. Mr. Goldstein provides counsel to the firm's clients on a range of employment matters and has represented employers on claims involving trade secrets and non-compete agreements. He has handled trust disputes, broker malpractice and breach of contract cases and has also worked on appeals involving insurance coverage issues and the right to a jury trial. Mr. Goldstein is a regular contributor to Ball Janik's Employment Law Report. He is a member of the Oregon State Bar (Computer and Internet Law Section). Mr. Goldstein earned his B.A. degree from Cornell University and his J.D. degree, Order of the Coif, from the University of Southern California Law School. HOLLI K. HOUSTON is an attorney with Kilmer, Voorhees & Laurick, P.C. Her practice emphasizes professional liability litigation and tort defense. Ms. Houston also practices in the area of construction defect. Prior to joining Kilmer, Voorhees & Laurick, P.C., she spent time as a litigation associate with two Eugene firms: Jaqua & Wheatley, LLC and Arnold Law Office, LLC. Additionally, Ms. Houston taught legal research and writing for the University of Oregon Law School. She is a member of the Multnomah County Bar Association, the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, the Oregon Women Lawyers' Association, the Oregon State Bar Uniform Civil Jury Instructions Committee and the Oregon State Bar Legal Ethics Committee (secretary 2009, chair 2010). Ms. Houston earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Austin Peay State University and her J.D. degree from the University of Michigan Law School. FRANK J. WEISS is a member of the Oregon firm of Tonkon Torp LLP, where his practice emphasizes complex commercial litigation, insurance coverage and sports marketing. His substantial experience includes litigation and trial work in federal and state courts, as well as in private arbitration and mediation. Mr. Weiss's clients include regional and national entities involved in disputes in Oregon and across the country. He currently is chairman of the firm's ethics committee and is a former member of the Oregon State Bar Legal Ethics Committee and of the Multnomah County Lawyer's Professional Responsibility Committee. Mr. Weiss earned his B.S. degree from the University of Oregon and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of California. He is admitted to practice in Oregon and California, and the U.S. District courts for the District of Oregon and the Northern, Southern and Central Districts of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals 9th Circuit.
