ERIC K HELMY is the founding partner of the Northwest Business Law Group in Portland, where he devotes his practice to the areas of litigation and lawsuits, intellectual property, employment law, tax law, and transactions and business setup. Mr. Helmy has served as counsel on major business litigation matters since 2005. He obtained his B.A. degree in ecology from Cornell University and his J.D. degree from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College. He also holds an LL.M. degree in taxation from the University of Washington School of Law. Mr. Helmy is a member of the American Association for Justice and is a guardian of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. ROBERT W. NUNN is a partner with the firm of Sussman Shank LLP, in Portland, where he has more than 30 years of experience handling business issues. His practice emphasizes contract negotiations, tax, finance, M&A, securities, real estate and international transactions. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Nunn was a CPA. His experience in the non-law aspects of business give him the ability to better advise clients on the best business solutions. Mr. Nunn has extensive experience with institutional-level investments, including manager selection and development of investment policies. He also chairs the Endowment Committee of Williamette University and has served on the investment committees of Legacy Health Systems and the Professional Liability Fund. Mr. Nunn received his B.S. degree from Willamette University, his M.S./M.B.A. degree in accounting from Northeastern University and his J.D. degree from the University of Oregon School of Law where he was articles editor for the Oregon Law Review. Mr. Nunn is an active member of the Oregon State Bar (1976 to present),serving as a current member of several sections and as past chair and member of numerous other committees. He also is a member of the American Bar Association (1976 - present) and a Certified Public Accountant, (Hawaii, 1980, inactive). ROBERT K. WINGER is a partner in the Portland branch of the law firm of Dunn, Carney, Allen, Higgins & Tongue. His practice focuses in the areas of corporate, tax and ERISA planning. Mr. Winger received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Oregon. He is a member of the American Bar Association (member, Employee Benefits Committee and Administration and Litigation Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section) and the Oregon State Bar (member, Executive Committee of the Taxation Section, 1985-1993, chair, 1990-1991; Limited Liability Company Joint Task Force).
