DALE L. ASTLE is senior executive vice president and general counsel of Guaranty Abstract Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is a frequent presenter in seminars and educational conferences, has taught real estate transactions as an adjunct professor at the University of Tulsa College of Law and has written several articles covering various topics related to real estate law and Oklahoma land titles. Mr. Astle is the author of "Title Insurance," Vernon's Oklahoma Forms 2d, Real Estate (West 2000) and "Official Conveyances and Antecedent Records," Patton and Palomar on Land Titles, Third Edition (West, 2003) and "Transfer-on-Death Deeds in Oklahoma", 82 O.B.A.J. 651 (2011). He was selected for inclusion in the 2007 and 2009 issues of "Oklahoma Super Lawyers." Mr. Astle also has served as a member of the executive committee of the Abstractors and Title Insurance Agents Section of the American Land Title Association and as chairman of the ALTA Public Relations Committee. He is a past president of the Oklahoma Land Title Association and is a member of the Tulsa County, the Oklahoma and the American bar associations, the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the Tulsa Title and Probate Lawyers Association. Mr. Astle is a past chairman of the Real Property Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is a member of the title examination standards committee for the Oklahoma Bar Association. In addition, he has participated as a member of the Board of Directors for the Tulsa Title and Probate Lawyers Association, the Oklahoma Land Title Association and the Real Property Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association and has served on numerous committees of the OLTA and the OBA. Mr. Astle earned his A.S. degree from Northern Oklahoma College, his B.S degree from Oklahoma State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. ROBERT N. SHEETS is a partner with the Oklahoma City law firm of Phillips Murrah P.C. His primary areas of practice are commercial litigation, environmental law, oil and gas law, and real estate law. Mr. Sheets was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before all Oklahoma courts, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. He earned his A.B. degree from Washington University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Oklahoma City University. Mr. Sheets was a law clerk for the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma. He has been an adjunct professor of law at the Oklahoma City University School of Law, teaching federal jurisdiction. Mr. Sheets is a frequent continuing legal education lecturer in matters of real estate and oil and gas. He is a member of the American, Oklahoma and Oklahoma County (Law-Related Education Panel) bar associations, and the Oklahoma City Society of Title Attorneys. Mr. Sheets is a director of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and chairman of the Voices for Children Committee. He has been a judge for the We the People competition of the Oklahoma Bar Association for more than ten years. Mr. Sheets is past chairman of the Law-Related Education Committee of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and is a frequent speaker at area schools for that committee. JOE STRUCKLE has served as a vice president and general counsel of First American Title & Trust Company in their El Reno office since 2002. He also has served as the county manager for Canadian County since 2007. Mr. Struckle began his private practice in 1989, focusing on real estate (commercial and residential), probate and taxation. He earned his B.S. degree at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and his J.D. degree at the University of Oklahoma School of Law.
