September 21 - Tulsa MICHAEL S. ASHWORTH is a staff trial attorney for Schroeder & Associates, where he tries cases for Farmer's Insurance involving personal lines, large loss and commercial claims. He brings substantial prosecutorial experience particularly emphasizing at risk populations (children, seniors, mentally ill and the developmentally delayed). Mr. Ashworth has tried several dozen jury trials (both criminal and civil), conducted numerous grand jury proceedings, and handled hundreds of depositions. He has lectured on forensic evidence and interviewing, as well as trial techniques at the local, state and national levels. Mr. Ashworth has tried cases or consulted on quality assurance, regulatory and risk management matters in Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, California, Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee, Oregon, Idaho, Iowa and Utah. He was the first advocate general for the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs and as such was the chief ombudsman responsible for the care and civil rights for one of the largest adult detention facilities in the country. Mr. Ashworth is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association. He serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Tulsa College of Law. Mr. Ashworth was on the National Trial Team for the University of Oklahoma College of Law and twice an award recipient of the National Client Counseling Competition at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. JOE MULENEX is a regional technical director at Avansic. He is responsible for overseeing the expansion of Avansic into additional markets and manages all resulting business development for those markets. Mr. Mulenex has more than 15 years experience in information technology, operations and product delivery in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining the Avansic team, he served 10 years at CVS Caremark as director of operations. Among his responsibilities were systems management, Medicare operations and enrollment administration. September 22 - Oklahoma City CHARLES A. ADAMS has been a sole practitioner in the Oklahoma City metro area for the last 16 years. He practices in the areas of civil and criminal litigation, business, oil and gas, probate, administrative and family law. Mr. Adams is a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association.
