HON. BOB LAKE GROVE serves as a Judge for the Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Court. Judge Grove was appointed to the bench in July, 2008. He was admitted to practice in 1966 and served five years as an Assistant Oklahoma County District Attorney. During his years as a private practitioner Judge Grove practiced in the areas of criminal and civil litigation. He earned his B.A. degree at the University of Oklahoma and his J.D. degree at the University of Oklahoma School of Law. BRADLEY D. AVEY is the principal of the Edmond law firm of Bradley D. Avey, P.C. He has focused his practice on workers’ compensation, labor and employment, and workers’ compensation defense since 1986. Mr. Avey earned his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Oklahoma Christian College and his J.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. He is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association (Workers Compensation Section). DAVID B. CUSTAR is a member of the Oklahoma City law firm of McCarty & Custar, PLLC. He holds the prestigious "AV" rating by Martindale Hubble. Mr. Custar has concentrated his practice on workers’ compensation and workers’ compensation defense since 1987. He earned his M.B.A. degree from the University of Oklahoma and his J.D. degree at the University of Oklahoma School of Law. DEAN LOTT is an attorney with the Brawner Law Firm in Oklahoma City. He has focused his practice on workers’ compensation defense since 1998. Mr. Lott earned his B.A. degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and his J.D. degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law. W. DEVIN RESIDES is co-founder and manager of the AV rated and A.M. Best recommended law firm of Resides & Resides, PLLC. Mr. Resides practices in the areas of insurance defense, workers’ compensation, government contracting, labor and employment law, and appellate advocacy. The most recent achievement of his appellate practice is Saul v. Alcorn, 2007 OK 90. Mr. Resides served as managing editor of the Oklahoma City University Law Review and president of Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity. He has published "HMO Liability in the New Millennium: New Theories with an Old Twist" in Oklahoma City University Law Review in Vol. 27, spring 2002. Mr. Resides is a former police officer with the Prescott Police Department in Arizona during which time he received a number of awards, including a Meritorious Service Award, a Lifesaving Award, and a Top Shooter Award. He is a member of Edmond Masonic Lodge #37 and Oklahoma City Lodge #37 AF & AM. Mr. Resides also is a member of the McAlester Scottish Rite and Oklahoma City India Shrine. He is licensed to practice before all Oklahoma state and federal courts.
