L. SHERYL COLTON has been a CPA since 1988 and specializes in complex tax issues, specifically, estate and trust issues, business transactions, and multiple-level business returns. She has been president of Colton & Associates, P.C. since 1992, a practice advising over 500 clients. Ms. Colton earned a degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma, as well as a marketing degree from Oklahoma State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Society of Accountants. Her community involvement includes serving on the boards of the Oklahoma Humane Society, Integris Foundation, and Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre. In addition, she is the financial adviser for the AIDS Support Program and Oklahoma City Repertory Theatre. ROB SHAFF specializes in litigation consulting, forensic accounting, business startups, corporate turnarounds, and accounting services. He is president of Shaff Consulting, Inc. and is Director of Consulting for Colton & Associates, P.C. He is an editorial advisor for the AICPA Business Valuation and Litigation Services Section publication, FOCUS Newsletter , and has previously instructed accounting courses on an adjunct basis at a local community college. In addition, he recently led a seminar for the Oklahoma County Bar Association; Family Law Section entitled "Detecting Tax Return Fraud in Divorce Cases." Mr. Shaff earned his degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the National Society of Accountants, and the Turnaround Management Association. Mr. Shaff serves on the board of the Tree Bank Foundation as treasurer, and serves in the capacity of financial advisor for several other non-profit organizations.
