GREGORY B. DENNY is a partner in the Toledo law firm of Bugbee & Conkle, LLP, where he practices in workers' compensation, representing both state-funded and self-insured employers in the administrative agency and at all court levels. Mr. Denny has spoken on workers' compensation to employer groups, attorneys and judges at numerous seminars throughout the state. He is a former trustee and a three-term past president of the Northwest Ohio Self-Insurers Association. Mr. Denny also is a member of the Workers' Compensation committees of both the Toledo and Ohio State bar associations. He earned his B.S.B.A. degree, with honors, from Washington University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Ohio State University. CARL E. HABEKOST is a partner with the Toledo office of Robison, Curphey & O'Connell, LLC. Mr. Habekost is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in Ohio Workers' Compensation Law. He has practiced law since 1990 and served as a Staff Hearing Officer with the Industrial Commission of Ohio from 1994 to 2005 where he adjudicated a broad variety of issues including injury claims, permanent and total disability claims, death claims, allegations of fraud and violation of specific safety requirement claims. He has extensive experience practicing workers' compensation law and his background has allowed him exposure to every aspect of workers' compensation. Mr. Habekost has worked as a third party administrator representing employers before the Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers' Compensation performing advocacy functions and assisting employers with premium and rating disputes. He also has practiced law representing injured workers in cases at trial and appellate courts as well before the Industrial Commission and Bureau of Workers' Compensation. Mr. Habekost now focuses his practice on assisting employers. He represents large self-insured employers, small state-funded employers, and public and private employers in any and all workers' compensation issues. He also is a Certified Occupational Safety Specialist and is uniquely qualified to assist employers with OSHA issues, violation of specific safety requirement claims and intentional tort cases. Mr. Habekost earned his B.A. degree from Capital University and his J.D. degree from the University of Toledo College of Law. ADRIENNE M. HINES is a partner in the law firm of Calhoun, Kademenos & Childress Co., L.P.A., and oversees the Sandusky and Port Clinton offices. Ms. Hines has been an attorney for more than 14 years and focuses her practice on workers' compensation, personal injury and bankruptcy. She is certified by the Workers' Compensation Law Specialty Board of the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in the field of workers' compensation law in Ohio. Ms. Hines is currently a member of the Toledo Bar Association (Workers' Compensation and Bankruptcy Committees), Erie County Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association (Workers' Compensation section), the American Association for Justice and the Ohio Association for Justice. She earned her B.A. degree from Ohio University and her J.D. degree from the University of Toledo. ANDREW J. WILHELMS is a partner in the law firm of Bugbee & Conkle, LLP. His practice is principally limited to litigation, with an emphasis on commercial, labor/employment, workers' compensation, serious personal injury/wrongful death, and general civil matters. Mr. Wilhelms has handled cases in numerous states, including Arkansas, Indiana, Georgia, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York and Ohio. Mr. Wilhelms has spoken at conferences and seminars throughout the state to employers, third party administrators, attorneys, and judges on a variety of topics, including workers' compensation, workplace safety, insurance coverage, FMLA, ADA, USERRA and intentional tort issues. Mr. Wilhelms earned his B.A. degree at Miami University, and his J.D. degree from Capital University, where he served as president of the Mood Court Board. He is a member of the Columbus, Ohio State, and Toledo bar associations, as well as the Northwest Ohio Self-Insurers Association and the Ohio Association for Justice.
