DEAN M. BOLAND is an attorney in Lakewood, Ohio. Mr. Boland devotes his practice, as he did his work as a court-qualified expert witness, exclusively to the technology related cases including child pornography charges and online solicitation cases involving digital evidence, digital images, and digital videos as evidence. His briefs and arguments are regularly circulated to other counsel across the country. In addition to trial work as both a prosecutor, and now defense attorney, his experience as a court of appeals law clerk positions him to advocate for clients in federal and state courts of appeal. Mr. Boland has been admitted in federal and state courts nationwide. His past and current cases include state and federal matters in Florida, Ohio, Missouri, New York, Texas, Oklahoma, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Virginia. Mr. Boland earned his B.A. degree from Cleveland State University and his J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. BRETT BURNEY is principal of Burney Consultants LLC, where he focuses his time on bridging the chasm between the legal and technology frontiers of electronic discovery. He works closely with firms and attorneys that need assistance interpreting the technical aspects of collecting, processing and reviewing electronic data. Prior to establishing Burney Consultants LLC, Mr. Burney spent more than five years at the law firm of Thompson Hine LLP, where he worked with litigation teams in building document databases, counseling on electronic discovery issues and supporting technology used at trial. He frequently contributes to Law.com's Legal Technology Center and Law Technology News magazine, as well as writing his own e-discovery blog at www.ediscoveryinfo.com. Mr. Burney is a frequent speaker for local bar associations, the ABA Techshow and the Masters Conference. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. ADAM J. THURMAN is a partner in the Cleveland law firm of Schoonover, Rosenthal, Thurman & Daray, LLC, where he practices exclusively in the area of family law. Mr. Thurman is a past chair of the Family Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and was appointed as a liaison to the E-Publications and Technology Groups. He is a frequent lecturer on family law issues and has been a member of the Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court's guardian ad litem program for more than 10 years. Mr. Thurman earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from John Carroll University and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Cleveland Marshall College of Law.
