EDWARD P. AKIN is a partner in the litigation department of Aronoff, Rosen & Hunt, LPA, and practices in the areas of civil, commercial and construction-related litigation. His clients include builders in construction-related disputes and civil litigation in a wide range of cases, including labor and employment disputes, intellectual property and occasionally personal injury. He was selected to participate in the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers (CALL), Class XI. Mr. Akin has served as a speaker on rules and procedures for success in the federal courts. He is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio and Commonwealth of Kentucky and is a member of the Cincinnati and Ohio State bar associations. Mr. Akin earned his B.A. degree from Southwestern University, his M.A. degree from the University of Texas at Austin, his Ph.D. degree from the University of California Los Angeles and his J.D. degree from Notre Dame School of Law. KIMBERLY L. BECK is an attorney in the Cincinnati office of Ulmer & Berne LLP. Ms. Beck focuses her practice on product liability and business litigation. She is well-versed in pleadings and motion practice, pre-trial discovery, trial preparation, trial practice and appeals. Ms. Beck was named an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2010 and 2011 by Law & Politics magazine. She is a member of the Ohio State, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Indiana, Federal and American bar associations. Ms. Beck earned her B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Cincinnati and her J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law. H. TOBY SCHISLER is a partner in the Cincinnati office of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, and a member of the firm's Litigation Department. Mr. Schisler has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation. He has first-chair trial experience in more than 20 cases in state and federal courts. He has also argued before the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, Tenth, and Twelfth Appellate Districts in Ohio, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Much of Mr. Schisler's practice is devoted to representing motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors in litigation involving product liability claims, warranty issues, and consumer sales practices. He also has considerable experience representing owners, developers, contractors, and material suppliers in all phases of construction litigation. His practice includes extensive experience handling real estate litigation and other cases involving troubled assets. This experience includes handling many commercial and residential foreclosure and receivership actions on behalf of lenders, owners, developers, and contractors. Mr. Schisler also handles business and commercial litigation cases for a number of financial institutions and a diverse group of other clients. He is a member of the Ohio State and Cincinnati bar associations. Mr. Schisler earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Miami University and his J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
