BRETT K. BACON is a founding partner of the Cleveland law firm of Frantz Ward LLP, where he practices in the areas of insurance law (representing plaintiffs and defendants), business torts, finance and banking law including lender liability, real estate litigation and products liability law. Mr. Bacon lectures frequently on litigation topics for National Business Institute and various other organizations. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel. Mr. Bacon earned his B.A. degree from the University of Dubuque and his J.D. degree from Northwestern University. STACY R.C. BERLINER is a litigator with Thacker Martinsek LPA, who represents corporate policyholders in obtaining recovery of insurance proceeds for their liabilities and losses relating to commercial liability policies, directors and officers liability policies, construction, property and business interruption policies, professional liability policies, and employment practices policies. Her experience includes assisting insureds in identifying and analyzing historical coverage, counseling clients in coverage disputes against carriers and brokers, assisting clients in policy interpretation, risk and litigation management, policy renewals, and successfully litigating against insurance carriers who wrongfully deny coverage. Ms. Berliner also represents employers in employment litigation and advises employers on compliance with Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA and similar state and local laws. In addition, she works with clients on developing strategies to resolve complex corporate, real estate, construction contract and business tort matters. Ms. Berliner represents clients regularly in both state and federal courts and also has represented clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and other forms of dispute. Ms. Berliner is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland Metropolitan bar associations. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from the College of Wooster and her J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. SALLIE C. LUX is a shareholder in the law firm of Brouse McDowell, LPA and a member of the firm's Litigation, Insurance Recovery and Labor and Employment practice groups. Ms. Lux has more than 25 years of experience as a business litigator and has represented clients in litigation matters in a variety of forums, both federal and state. Over the years, her practice has centered on the representation of business in a wide range of business dispute, including business torts, fraud, trade secret matters, shareholder disputes, securities claims and products liability. She has worked on matters involving several people to several hundred parties and practices at all trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. In recent years, her practice has focused primarily on all facets of employment litigation and insurance recovery work on behalf of policyholders. Ms. Lux is a member of the Akron, Ohio State and American bar associations, as well as the Federal and Cincinnati bar associations. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati and her J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. BRIAN D. SULLIVAN is a partner with the law firm of Reminger & Reminger Co., L.P.A., in Cleveland, and is co-head of the firm's Insurance Coverage Department where he leads the areas of appellate advocacy and insurance coverage defense litigation. Mr. Sullivan has argued insurance coverage disputes before state and federal appellate benches as well as the Ohio Supreme Court. He received his B.A. degree from the State University of New York in Binghamton and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Cleveland State University, Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Mr. Sullivan is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland bar associations and the Defense Research Institute. He is licensed to practice in the state of Ohio as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court, the 6th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and both the Northern and Southern districts of Ohio.
