BRETT BURNEY is principal of Burney Consultants LLC, where he focuses his time on bridging the chasm between the legal and technology frontiers of electronic discovery. He works closely with firms and attorneys that need assistance interpreting the technical aspects of collecting, processing and reviewing electronic data. Prior to establishing Burney Consultants LLC, Mr. Burney spent more than five years at the law firm of Thompson Hine LLP, where he worked with litigation teams in building document databases, counseling on electronic discovery issues and supporting technology used at trial. He frequently contributes to Law.com's Legal Technology Center and Law Technology News magazine, as well as writing his own e-discovery blog at http://www.ediscoveryinfo.com. Mr. Burney is a frequent speaker for local bar associations, the ABA Techshow and the Masters Conference. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. (Cleveland and Akron locations) ADAM E. CARR is the managing partner of The Carr Law Office, LLC, in Hudson. Mr. Carr defends and prosecutes civil cases of all types, especially personal injury and wrongful death, insurance coverage, contracts, complex civil litigation, and appeals. He also evaluates claims and provides written opinions on questions of liability, damages and insurance coverage. Mr. Carr is board-certified as a civil trial lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA); he has an American Jurisprudence Award in appellate practice; and he is recognized as an insurance coverage expert in Ohio Super Lawyers 2010 & 2011. He has served as first-chair lead counsel in hundreds of trials and arbitrations, participated as lead counsel in over fifty reported appellate decisions, and appeared in court in most of Ohio's counties. He wrote three chapters of the first edition of the only commercially available treatise on Ohio tort law, Baldwin's Ohio Practice: Tort Law. Mr. Carr is a member of the DRI- the Voice of the Defense Bar, the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, the Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and the Ohio State, Akron, and Lake County bar associations. GALVIN is a partner in the law firm of Reminger Co., L.P.A., where he practices in the areas of professional liability litigation, commercial litigation and appellate practice. Previously, Mr. Galvin served as law clerk at both the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and the Ohio 8th District Court of Appeals. He frequently lectures for National Business Institute and other professional groups on various topics, including legal writing, professional liability issues, trial preparation, insurance coverage matters and appellate practice. In 2005, Mr. Galvin was recognized as a Rising Star in Ohio by Law & Politics Magazine. Mr. Galvin is a member of the Ohio State, Cuyahoga County and Cleveland bar associations. SHAPERO is the managing partner of the law firm of Shapero & Roloff Co., L.P.A., in Cleveland. He has more than 20 years of experience, with a practice that includes all aspects of plaintiff's medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, product liability, personal injury and civil rights. Mr. Shapero has successfully litigated many cases in the various courts in Ohio. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The American Association for Justice, the Ohio Association for Justice, the Cleveland Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Ohio State, Cleveland, Akron and Lorain bar associations. Mr. Shapero also is the Board Chair of the Ohio, Kentucky and Allegheny Region of the Anti-Defamation League. TSAROUHAS is an attorney in the Akron law firm of Perantinides & Nolan Co., L.P.A., where his practice concentrates on medical negligence, product liability, vehicular and premises liability, and intentional tort. Mr. Tsarouhas was certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy in 2005 and recently re-certified in 2009. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by Cincinnati Magazine from 2005 through 2007 and from 2008 through to 2010 recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer. Mr. Tsarouhas is a member of the Akron and the American bar associations, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Ohio Association of Justice, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Franklin Trial Lawyers Association. In addition, he serves as co-chair of the American Trial Lawyers Association's Laparoscopic Litigation Group.
