STEVEN A. DIMENGO is a partner in the Akron law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP where he serves as department head of the Taxation Section of the Business Practice Group. His practice primarily includes consultation and representation with respect to federal and Ohio tax law matters. He is routinely engaged to structure proposed transactions in a manner to obtain optimum tax minimization. Mr. Dimengo is actively involved in representation before the Ohio Tax Commissioner, the Board of Tax Appeals of Ohio and the Ohio Supreme Court, as well as before the Internal Revenue Service. He is admitted to the U.S. Tax Court and the Federal District Court and also is a certified public accountant. Mr. Dimengo received his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Akron; his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Akron College of Law; and his M.A. degree in taxation from the University of Akron. He has written various tax articles appearing in the Ohio Tax Review, the Akron/Canton Chapter of the Ohio Society of CPAs Newsletter, the Small Business News, the Akron Tax Journal, the Ohio CPA Journal, the University of Akron Law Review and the Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP publication, The Advisor. Mr. Dimengo also has given numerous presentations concerning various tax topics. He is a member and participant in the Akron and Ohio State bar associations, is chair of the Ohio State Bar Association Taxation Committee, as well as a member of the Akron/Canton Chapter of the Ohio Society of CPAs. Mr. Dimengo is an adjunct professor of state and local taxation at the University of Akron in its Masters of Taxation Program. RICHARD B. FRY III is an attorney in the Akron office of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs, LLP. Mr. Fry works in the Business Practice Group and has experience in a wide variety of areas, including federal and state tax matters, mergers and acquisitions, and business formation. He is a member of the Akron, American and Ohio State bar associations. Mr. Fry earned his B.B.A. degree, cum laude, from Kent State University; his M.S.T. degree from The University of Akron College of Business Administration; and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from The University of Akron School of Law.
