COLLEEN M. BLANDFORD is a partner with the Cincinnati law firm of Kohnen & Patton LLP. She is a member of the firm's litigation department and practices in the areas of insurance defense, products liability, commercial litigation, personal injury and employment discrimination. Aside from successfully defending insureds in federal and state court, Ms. Blandford is experienced at analyzing insurance coverage issues involving CGL policies, homeowners' policies, disability insurance, professional liability insurance and general tort litigation. She has defended manufacturers of products such as escalators and elevators against product liability claims. Ms. Blandford has defended discrimination claims both at the EEOC level and at the trial court level. She also assists clients with contract disputes, employment issues and other litigation. Ms. Blandford earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati and her J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. STEPHEN G. SCHWELLER is a partner in the Litigation Department of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. A Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Mr. Schweller focuses his practice on insurance-related issues and disputes. He has represented insurance carriers in significant coverage litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts around the country as well as in mediations and arbitrations. He has handled cases for carriers, agents, and third-party administrators, including bad faith cases, adversary proceedings in bankruptcy, collections matters, and declaratory judgment actions concerning premium charges, reserving practices, claims handling, and other policy-related issues. Additionally, he has worked on statutory liquidations of insurance companies, including serving as principal outside counsel to the Superintendent of Insurance as liquidator of a failed property and casualty insurance company. Mr. Schweller also provides "preventive lawyering" in the form of coverage opinions and other pre-litigation advice. His practice also extends to non-insurance commercial litigation and general business disputes, involving negligence, fraud and/or breach of contract claims. Mr. Schweller is a member of the CPCU Society, the International Association of Insurance Receivers, the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, the Cincinnati Bar Association and the Insurance Law Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from Denison University and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law. DAVID W. WALULIK is a partner in the Cincinnati law office of Frost Brown Todd, LLC, where he practices as a commercial litigator, focusing on insurance, banking, and other complex commercial cases. Mr. Walulik represents a wide range of clients in these industries, including insurers, financial institutions, and corporations. He has prosecuted and defended several multimillion-dollar insurance cases involving environmental, product, and directors/officers liabilities. Mr. Walulik also has litigated several cases involving provider payments under Medicare, Medicaid and ERISA health benefit plans. He earned his B.A. and B.S. degrees and J.D. degree, with honors, from The Ohio State University. Mr. Walulik is a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio State, Pennsylvania and American bar associations.
