SCOTT A. CARROLL is the managing partner of the Cincinnati, Ohio office of Jackson Lewis LLP. Mr. Carroll has represented clients across the spectrum of labor and employment law, including wrongful discharge litigation, collective bargaining, union avoidance, and human resources counseling. He has expertise in drafting, counseling, prosecuting, and defending theft of trade secret cases and/or non-compete, non-solicitation cases. Mr. Carroll has been honored by being named an "Ohio Super Lawyer in Employment and Labor" from 2004 to 2009. He frequently lectures on all aspects of labor and employment law matters. Mr. Carroll earned his B.S. degree from the University of Cincinnati and his J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati School of Law. ERIC S. CLARK is a partner in the labor and employment practice group in the Cincinnati office of Thompson Hine LLP. Mr. Clark is experienced in every facet of labor and employment matters, including union organization campaigns, union negotiation, strikes, employment discrimination litigation, mediation, arbitrations, matters before the National Labor Relations Board, ERISA litigation, class actions, restrictive covenants and Fair Labor Standards Act claims. He also counsels human resources personnel regarding day-to-day labor and employment matters. Mr. Clark is a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio State and Massachusetts bar associations. He earned his B.S. and B.A. degrees from John Carroll University and his J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. ANDREW M. KAPLAN is a partner in the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP and is a member of the labor and employment group. His practice focuses on employment-related litigation and workers' compensation. Mr. Kaplan represents employers in state and federal court employment litigation and agency proceedings. He also represents self-insured and state-funded employers in workers' compensation matters before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and the trial and appellate courts of Ohio. Mr. Kaplan's work in the area of workers' compensation also includes defense of safety violation claims and intentional tort claims. He has given presentations on multiple workers' compensation issues, including claims management and defense, violations of specific safety requirements and intentional torts. Mr. Kaplan earned his B.A. degree from Amherst College and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center where he was an editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association.
