SANDRA J. BUZNEY is a sole practitioner in Beachwood, where she focuses her practice in the areas of elder law, Medicaid planning and planning for individuals with disabilities. RACHEL A. KABB-EFFRON is a partner in The Kabb Law Firm, in Beachwood, Ohio, where she specializes in elder law and concentrates on Social Security. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and is recognized as a specialist by the Supreme Court of Ohio. She has more than eight years of experience in representing elderly and disabled clients on eligibility issues involving Medicaid and other public assistance programs. Ms. Kabb-Effron has been practicing life care planning since 2006 and is currently the vice president of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association. She is the immediate past-president of the Ohio Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has been an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys on numerous national committees. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland bar associations. She recently chaired and was a presenter at the Cleveland Bar Association's elder law CLE, and is a frequent speaker for other professional and community groups on elder law issues. KREINER is an attorney in Cuyahoga Falls, where she concentrates her 26 years of practice in the field of elder law, including the areas of probate, wills, trusts, living wills and durable powers of attorney for health care, Medicare, Medicaid, estate planning, and guardianships. Ms. Kreiner is a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. She is the author of the book Ohio Elder Law; part of Baldwin's Ohio Handbook Series published by West, and also has written articles on elder law issues that have been published by several magazines and bar associations. Ms. Kreiner is a member of the Akron, Ohio State and American bar associations; The Florida Bar; and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, including the Ohio NAELA Chapter. She earned her B.S. degree from Kent State University, and her M.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Akron. ALLISON MANTZ McMEECHAN is an attorney with the law firm of Schraff & King Co., L.P.A., where her practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning and administration, Medicaid, elder law, guardianships, special needs trusts, and probate matters. She joined Schraff & King Co., L.P.A. as an associate in April 2005. Ms. McMeechan has published articles and has spoken in the areas of probate, estate planning, government benefits, and special needs trusts. Her audiences include bar associations, non-profit associations and other professional organizations. LISA MONTONI GARVIN is an attorney in the Cleveland office of Hickman & Lowder Co., L.P.A., where she focuses her practice on advising individuals and families in the areas of elder law, estate and special needs planning, guardianships, Medicaid planning, and estate and trust administration. She has written articles and spoken on the topics of Ohio's Medicaid Estate Recovery program, guardianship and surrogate decision-making, the legal aspects of aging, and special needs planning. Ms. Montoni Garvin is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Cleveland Metropolitan, Lake County and Ohio bar associations. She earned her B.S. degree, cum laude, from John Carroll University and her J.D. degree from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. DANIEL P. SEINK is the founder and managing partner of Daniel P. Seink Co., Ltd. He is certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, which is the only certification accredited by the American Bar Association and the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Certification of Attorneys as Specialists. Mr. Seink devotes his practice primarily to those issues uniquely affecting the elderly, the disabled and their families. He is the contributing editor to the Elder Law Handbook published by the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Seink is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and serves as a Board Member of the Ohio Chapter of NAELA. Mr. Seink is a frequent lecturer to legal, financial, health and tax professionals. He earned his B.A. degree from John Carroll University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law; and also served for three years as a staff attorney for the State of Ohio Court of Appeals. BARBARA WEINSCHENK is an attorney at Weinschenk Law, LLC, with offices in Akron, Ohio and Canal Fulton, Ohio. The primary focus of her practice is elder law, including estate planning, special needs planning, Medicaid planning, VA planning, guardianship, probate and estate administration. Prior to entering legal practice, Ms. Weinschenk was a registered nurse for a number of years and has experience with health insurance and as a clinical nurse.
