KEN KABB is a partner in The Kabb Law Firm in Beachwood, Ohio. Mr. Kabb was admitted to practice law before the Ohio Supreme Court in 1969. He is also admitted in the Federal Courts, Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims and the United States Supreme Court. His law experience is varied, including administrative law (Social Security, black lung, workers' compensation), medical-legal and engineering issues, industrial safety and injury and disability law. KABB-EFFRON is a partner in The Kabb Law Firm in Beachwood, Ohio, where she specializes in elder law and concentrates on Social Security. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and is recognized as a specialist by the State of Ohio Supreme Court. She has more than eight years of experience in representing elderly and disabled clients on eligibility issues involving Medicaid and other public assistance programs. Ms. Kabb-Effron has been practicing life care planning since 2006 and is currently the vice president of the Life Care Planning Law Firms Association. She is the immediate past president of the Ohio Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has been an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys on numerous national committees. Ms. Kabb-Effron is a member of the Ohio State and Cleveland bar associations. She recently chaired and was a presenter at the Cleveland Bar Association's elder law CLE and is a frequent speaker for other professional and community groups on elder law issues. Ms. Kabb-Effron earned her B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Cincinnati and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. CANDACE M. POLLOCK is a principal in the Cleveland law firm of Hahn & Pollock. Ms. Pollock has been an attorney for more than 20 years. Her practice includes estate and financial planning, probate and elder law. She is co-author, with Peggy Hoyt, J.D., M.B.A., of the books Special People, Special Planning: How to Create a Safe Legal Haven for Families with Special Needs; Loving Without License: An Estate Planning Survival Guide for Unmarried Couples and Same Sex Partners, A Matter of Trust and Women in Transition. Ms. Pollock has lectured to individuals and organizations about various estate planning and disability planning topics. She has held leadership positions in legal and professional associations, including chair of the Workers' Compensation and Social Security sections of the Cuyahoga Bar Association; Representative-at-Large on the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers; and Member-Executive Committee of the Workers' Compensation Section of OATL. Ms. Pollock earned her B.A. degree from Baldwin-Wallace College and her J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
