December 16 - Dayton TED GUDORF is the owner of Gudorf Law Group, LLC in Dayton, OH. He is the first attorney in Ohio to obtain a Master of Laws degree in estate planning and elder law. In addition, Mr. Gudorf is one of the first attorneys to become certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in the areas of estate planning, trust and probate law. He is most recently the co-author of two books: Estate Planning Strategies: Collective Wisdom, Proven Techniques and For Ohio Doctors: Shedding Light on Asset Protection, Tax and Estate Planning. Mr. Gudorf is a member of WealthCounsel, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Ohio Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys, the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the American, Ohio State and Dayton bar associations. He earned his B.A. degree from Wright State University, his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law and his LL.M. degree from Western New England College School of Law. R. JASON HOWARD is a sole practitioner in Dayton, Ohio. Mr. Howard maintains a general practice that includes litigation and estate planning work. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. Mr. Howard earned his B.S. degree from Wright State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton School of Law. December 17 - Cincinnati ROBERT G. HYLAND is an attorney with the Cincinnati law firm of Buechner Haffer Meyers & Koenig Co., LPA, where his practice areas include estate planning and administration, small business, taxation and real estate transactions, and litigation in those areas. He is a frequent lecturer on estate planning and administration topics for the bar and other community organizations. Mr. Hyland is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association (member, Trust, Wills and Estate Planning Committee, and the Taxation sections), the American Bar Association (member, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section) and the Ohio State Bar Association. He earned his A.B. degree from Hamilton College and his J.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati. JAMEY L. KURTZER is a sole practitioner in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Kurtzer has been an attorney for more than 15 years and focuses his practice on estate planning, estate administration and probate. He is licensed to practice in Ohio and Indiana and is a member of the Ohio State and Cincinnati bar associations. Mr. Kurtzer earned his B.S. degree from Miami University and his J.D. degree from Indiana University School of Law (Bloomington). S. MARK MATHEWS is a partner in the Cincinnati law firm of Mathews & Mathews Co., L.P.A. Mr. Mathews has been an attorney for more than 10 years and focuses his practice on estate planning. He also has served as special counsel to the Ohio Attorney General for Medicaid Estate Recovery since 2007. Mr. Mathews is a member of the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council and the American, Ohio State, Cincinnati and Kentucky bar associations. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and all Ohio and Kentucky state courts and agencies. Mr. Mathews earned his B.S.B.A. degree from Ohio Northern University, his J.D. degree from Thomas Cooley Law School and his LL.M. degree from Capital University. PAUL W. STECKER JR. is a shareholder in the Dayton law firm of O'Diam & Stecker Law Group, Inc. Mr. Stecker's practice is focused on estate planning and administration, business transactions and tax law. He is a certified public accountant, though currently inactive. Prior to attending law school he worked in the private client advisors group of Deloitte & Touche for three years in Columbus, Ohio. There, he focused on income and estate tax compliance and planning for high net worth individuals and small businesses. Mr. Stecker is a member of WealthCounsel and the Dayton, Ohio State and American bar associations. He earned his B.S.B.A. degree, cum laude, from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
