SCOTT W. DAVIS, LEED AP, is an attorney in the Columbus law firm of Bricker & Eckler LLP. Mr. Davis focuses his practice entirely on the construction industry, including project delivery methods, contract issues, litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked for several construction companies, both in the field as a project engineer and as a construction estimator. Mr. Davis is a member of the American, Ohio State and Columbus bar associations. He earned his B.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and his J.D. degree from The Ohio State University. PATRICK McCAFFREY JR. is a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He concentrates his practice in the areas of energy law; transportation; bad faith litigation; construction law; insurance coverage litigation; medical malpractice defense; nursing home litigation; personal injury litigation; premises liability; product liability law; and professional malpractice, with a particular emphasis in tort defense. A frequent lecturer on insurance coverage and transportation issues, Mr. McCaffrey has written for various publications. He is a member of the Columbus and Ohio State bar associations and is admitted to practice before all state courts in Ohio and Texas. While practicing in Texas, he was board certified in Texas personal injury law, requiring an additional specialty bar examination and substantial legal and trial experience. He is also a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) and the Council on Litigation Management. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Washington & Jefferson College and his J.D. degree, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law. MICHAEL V. PASSELLA is a member of the litigation department at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, where his practice is focused on public and private construction law, commercial litigation, and real estate law. He has represented owners, contractors and insurers in a variety of disputes, including defect claims, lien proceedings and bad faith litigation. Mr. Passella also has counseled local and county governments in appropriation and other civil actions in both state and federal courts. He is a member of the Columbus, Ohio State, American and Federal bar associations; and the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio. Mr. Passella was recognized as one of Ohio's Super Lawyers - Rising Stars, in the 2005 Cincinnati Magazine, as voted by his peers. He earned his B.A. degree from Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from Capital University Law School, where he was Order of the Curia. GABE J. ROEHRENBECK is an attorney in the Columbus office of Thompson Hine LLP. He is a member of the firm's construction and business litigation practice groups. Mr. Roehrenbeck's practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation, including matters involving public and private construction, commercial real estate, and general business disputes. He has advocated for clients in federal and state courts throughout the country, and in arbitration and mediation proceedings. Mr. Roehrenbeck is a member of the Construction Law Committee of the Columbus Bar Association, the Associated General Contractors of Ohio, the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio and the Ohio State Bar Association. He was selected as an Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyer magazine in 2007, 2009 and 2010. Mr. Roehrenbeck earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Texas Christian University and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Capital University Law School, where he was the editor in chief of the Capital University Law Review.
