August 25 - Akron DOUGLAS A. DiPALMA is a partner with the Cleveland law firm of Cavitch Familo & Durkin Co., LPA. Mr. DiPalma has been an attorney for more than 30 years and focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, employment law and civil litigation with trial experience in actions for breach of contract, including employment, construction and insurance contracts; actions involving covenants not to compete; various business torts; and claims brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act. He is a frequent speaker at seminars sponsored by professional and bar associations, as well as private firms. He has also been an adjunct professor at Kent State University since 2000, where he teaches courses on contract law and practices of federal litigation. Mr. DiPalma is the editor of Volume 8 of Ohio Transaction Guide, Matthew Bender & Co. and is also an author of an Expert Commentary published by Lexis/Nexis on the reporting requirements under Ohio's new minimum wage law.
