PAMELA HANIGOSKY is a registered nurse with 35 years of professional nursing experience. She is also a certified rehabilitation registered nurse, a certified case manager and a certified life care planner. Ms. Hanigosky is the president and owner of Recovery Options Management Inc., a case management, medical-legal and life care planning consulting firm, established in 1996. Ms. Hanigosky specializes in medical, catastrophic and geriatric case management, life care planning and elder care management. She is also an adjunct professor at Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. She teaches in the life care planning certificate course. Ms. Hanigosky is a published author and researcher, who has spoken at various local, regional, state and national conferences and seminars. She earned her nursing diploma from St. Vincent Charity Hospital & Health Center, School of Nursing in Cleveland and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cleveland State University. SEBASTIAN E. PROELS graduated from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1999 with honors, and was a recipient of the Max Gustin Academic Scholarship and Hergenroeder Trial Tactics Award. Dr. Proels was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio in 1999; he earned his medical degree (and undergraduate degree in biology) from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1994 and completed all requirements for permanent licensure to practice medicine in Illinois. Before founding PROELS WINSCHEL LLC, a civil and criminal litigation firm in Cleveland, Ohio, he worked in the litigation group of one of Ohio's largest law firms, successfully prosecuting and defending thousands of civil cases for dozens of Fortune 500 companies, and subsequently started, developed and managed a plaintiff's personal injury and tort practice at a boutique litigation firm in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Proels has more than twenty years of combined experience in physical sciences, medicine and law. He has successfully prosecuted and defended thousands of toxic tort, medical malpractice, personal injury, premises liability, intentional tort and workers' compensation cases. He has substantial, deep experience in preparing and taking various types of civil cases to trial, including all aspects of discovery, motion practice and general trial preparation. He has deposed hundreds of lay and expert witnesses, with particular emphasis on deposing and examining medical and scientific experts in discovery proceedings and at trial, including cardiothoracic surgeons, pulmonologists, oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, industrial hygienists, B-readers, treating physicians and other experts. His medical and scientific background provides indispensable insight into case assessment, case strategy and success at trial. Dr. Proels has diverse teaching experience, including the presentation of continuing legal education seminars for professional groups, including lawyers and paralegals, on a variety of legal and medical subject matters. He has published numerous articles and chapters in professional journals, trade journals and university textbooks. MARILYN J. SINGER is the principal of the Cleveland based law firm of McNeal, Schick, Archibald & Biro Co., L.P.A., where she focuses her practice on insurance defense work. She has been practicing law for 32 years and has previously lectured to attorneys and other professionals on areas related to her practice. Ms. Singer is a member of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, the Cleveland Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. She earned her A.B. degree from Bryn Mawr College and her J.D. degree from Case Western Reserve University.
