AMELIA A. BOWER is the managing partner of the Columbus office of Plunkett Cooney, P.C., and for more than 20 years she has practiced in the areas of civil litigation in real estate, bankruptcy (one witness adversary proceedings), construction, condominium, title insurance defense, title insurance underwriting, and general corporate and real estate transaction work. She lectures frequently to various professional groups and for National Business Institute on real estate and real estate title issues. Ms. Bower is a member of the Ohio State (member, committees on Legal Ethics and Professionalism) and Columbus (member, Real Property Section) bar associations. She earned her B.A. degree from Miami University and her J.D. degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. JOHN B. KOPF III is an attorney with the law firm Thompson Hine LLP, where his areas of practice include construction and business litigation. Mr. Kopf is a member of the American Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association (member, Construction Committee), the Ohio State Bar Association (chair, Construction Committee) and the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio. He earned his B.A. degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Capital University Law School. MICHAEL V. PASSELLA is a member of the litigation department at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, where his practice is focused on public and private construction law, commercial litigation and real estate law. He has represented owners, contractors and insurers in a variety of disputes, including defect claims, lien proceedings and bad faith litigation. Mr. Passella also has counseled local and county governments in appropriation and other civil actions in both state and federal courts. He is a member of the Columbus, Ohio State, American and Federal bar associations, and the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio. Mr. Passella is recognized as one of Ohio's Super Lawyers - Rising Stars, in the 2005 Cincinnati Magazine, as voted by his peers. He earned his B.A. degree from Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from Capital University Law School, where he was Order of the Curia.
