June 8 - Buffalo ROY H. CUNNINGHAM is an attorney with Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, business succession planning and elder law. He has experience in all aspects of the planning, administration, settlement and taxation of trusts and estates. Mr. Cunningham prepares estate planning documents, such as wills, living trust agreements, beneficiary designations and other instruments with respect to the development of estate plans. He counsels clients in a wide range of issues involving individual, fiduciary, income, gift and estate taxes. Mr. Cunningham frequently lectures on estate planning and tax topics to attorneys and paralegals. GRAY is a partner in the law firm of Gray & Feldman LLP, where his practice concentrates in the areas of estate planning, business and tax law. He has advised clients on the legal and tax aspects of choice of entity and the use of trusts and "pass-through" entities for estate planning purposes. Mr. Gray has made presentations on a variety of business, tax and estate planning topics throughout western and central New York state. ELLEN GRIMM SPENCER is an attorney in the Buffalo law firm of Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP, where she practices in the area of estates and trusts law. Ms. Spencer previously worked as a law clerk in the Town of Tonawanda Legal Department, researching legal issues pertaining to municipalities and assisting in the drafting of local laws. Prior to attending law school, she worked for Evergreen Investments in Boston, Massachusetts, as a sales and marketing analyst. Ms. Spencer is a graduate of Denison University and earned her J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. RAYMOND W. WALTER is an attorney with the Buffalo law firm of Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP, where he practices in the areas of estates, trusts and elder law. His background combines legal and business experience. Mr. Walter was a law clerk for the United States Attorney's Office, Western District, and for an area law firm, after serving as a research assistant for the Erie County Charter Revision Commission. He held the positions of business manager, finance manager and sales manager for more than 10 years with regional auto dealers. Mr. Walter is a member of the Erie County and the New York State bar associations. He is also an active participant in numerous civic and charitable organizations. Mr. Walter currently serves on the Board of the Amherst Senior Citizens Foundation Inc., the Amherst Traffic Safety Board, the Erie County Cultural Resources Advisory Board and as treasurer of Amherst Republican Committee. BALDWIN JR. is a partner in the Syracuse law firm of Baldwin & Sutphen, L.L.P., where he practices in the areas of estate planning, taxation and federal and state income. He earned his B.S.B.A. and LL.B. degrees from Syracuse University. Mr. Baldwin is a member of the American and New York State bar associations. RICHARD G. COMPSON is the managing partner of the Utica law firm of Compson, Eannace & Pierro, PLLC, where he practices in the areas of business law, estate planning, wills, trusts and taxation. He is a former adjunct professor of contracts and commercial law at Utica College. Mr. Compson is a member of the Oneida County (chairman of Trusts, Estate and Elder Law Committee, past president), New York State (member, Trusts, Estate and Elder Law Section) and American bar associations. He is also a member of The Florida Bar and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). Mr. Compson earned his A.B. degree from Franklin & Marshall College and his J.D. degree from the University of Miami. SHANE M. McCROHAN joined Scolaro, Shulman, Cohen, Fetter & Burstein, P.C., as an associate in the estate planning and trust and estate administration practice groups. He graduated, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. He was admitted to the bar in the commonwealth of Massachusetts and in the state of New York. Mr. McCrohan's practice is focused in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and business and tax planning for individuals and professionals. He also concentrates his practice in elder law and assisting individuals with long-term care planning. In addition, he is a professional certified financial planner. Prior to joining the Scolaro, Shulman, Cohen, Fetter & Burstein, P.C. law firm, Mr. McCrohan worked in the Boston area as a financial planner for five years and as an associate for two law firms with practices focused on estate planning, trust and estate administration and long-term care planning.
