SEAN PATRICK DWYER is a member of the law firm of Havkins Rosenfeld Ritzert & Varriale, LLP, where he practices in the areas of insurance coverage, civil trial, medical malpractice, construction law and tort litigation. He is an accomplished litigator in the handling of medical malpractice files, and has appeared as trial counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants in all state and federal jurisdictions in the New York area. In addition, Mr. Dwyer currently serves as defense counsel-of-choice for several hospitals in the Long Island region. He has lectured extensively on trial advocacy issues and held training seminars for a number of insurance companies, including CNA Insurance, St. Paul's Insurance and Crum & Forester Insurance. In addition, he also has presented seminars for National Business Institute. Mr. Dwyer is a former assistant district attorney with the New York County District Attorney and a former special assistant attorney general for New York State. He earned his B.A. degree from Manhattan College and his J.D. degree from New York Law School. Mr. Dwyer is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. SAMUEL E. FELBERBAUM is a partner in the law firm of Felberbaum Halbridge & Wirth, Attorneys at Law, where his areas of practice include insurance and personal injury, insurance coverage, bad faith, insurance litigation and workers' compensation. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Southern districts and the U.S. Court of Appeals. Mr. Felberbaum is an adjunct professor at Dowling College. He has also been a continuing legal education lecturer. His topics include, "Threshold Summary Judgment Motion Issues in No-Fault Automobile Cases"; "Issues Concerning Supplementary Uninsured Motorist Cases"; "The Automobile Case"; and "Negligence A-Z." He is a former trial counsel to State Farm Insurance, Allstate Insurance, Royal Insurance, Nationwide Insurance, CNA Insurance, Hartford Insurance and Crawford & Co. Mr. Felberbaum graduated from City University, summa cum laude, ranking in the top 1%, and earned his J.D. degree, with distinction, ranking in the top 5%, moot court honors, from Hofstra University School of Law. Mr. Felberbaum is a member of the Suffold County Bar Association (chairperson, Plaintiff's Negligence, Insurance, and Workers' Compensation Committee). He also is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York Civil/Criminal Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. JEFFREY M. KIMMEL is a partner in the New York firm of Salenger Sack Schwartz & Kimmel, LLP. He specializes in medical malpractice and significant personal injury matters. Before joining the firm, Mr. Kimmel served as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County in the Investigations Bureau. He was also an associate at a medical malpractice defense firm in Manhattan. A frequent lecturer on trial preparation, trial strategy and courtroom techniques, Mr. Kimmel speaks to attorneys at Bar Associations as well as to students at local law schools, colleges and high schools. He is a member of the prestigious Medical Malpractice Committee of The City Bar of New York. Mr. Kimmel has served as chairman of the New York County Lawyers Association's Young Lawyers Section and founded its highly successful Mentoring Program. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, The City Bar of New York and New York County Lawyers Association. Mr. Kimmel graduated from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. degree and Brooklyn Law School, where he received the school's coveted American Jurisprudence Awards in Legal Writing and Appellate Advocacy.
