JOSEPH ARONAUER is a member of Aronauer, Re & Yudell, LLP. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University and his J.D. degree from New York University Law School. Mr. Aronauer and his firm do extensive work in both New York and New Jersey, representing financial institutions in real estate workouts and real estate financial issues. He has spoken at industry seminars on issues ranging from foreclosure receiverships to enforceability of pre-payment provisions in and out of bankruptcy. DAN M. BLUMENTHAL is the partner in charge of Ezratty, Ezratty & Levine's Foreclosure and Appellate Practice Groups. He has more than a dozen years in foreclosure and eviction practice as some of New York's best-known foreclosure law firms and is New York State counsel to HUD's maintenance and marketing contractor, National Home Management Solutions for occupies HUD-foreclosed homes. He also represents Wells Fargo Home Mortgage on tax sale issues and related matters. Mr. Blumenthal received his B.A. degree from the University of Connecticut at Storrs and after a decade-long career in radio and consumer electronics marketing, received his J.D. degree from Yeshiva University's Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he was a member of the Cardozo Moot Court Board and participant in moot court and student trial advocacy competitions. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Real Property Section, Committee on Landlord-Tenant Practice) where he has lectured on evictions after foreclosure and the Nassau County Bar Association (District Court Committee). STEPHEN W. HAMMEL is counsel to MacGregor Abstract. Mr. Hammel previously was with Columbia Title & Abstract Corporation in Centerport, New York. Prior to joining Columbia Title & Abstract, Mr. Hammel served as counsel to Chicago Title Insurance Company in Mineola, New York, and had a law practice with a concentration in real estate. He also served as a mortgage closing department supervisor at the Green Point Savings Bank, in Flushing, New York. Furthermore, he is the chairman of the Reformed Church in America's New York Synod Judicial Business Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of the Reformed Church's Building and Extension Fund. Mr. Hammel is an instructor at the Long Island University School of Continuing Education. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut, and New York's Eastern and Southern federal districts. He earned his B.B.A. degree in banking and finance from Hofstra University and his J.D. degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. JOHN C. RE is a partner with the firm Aronauer, Re & Yudell, LLP, where his areas of experience include commercial foreclosures, loan workouts and restructures, contracts, insurance litigation, restrictive covenants, real estate litigation, and estate litigation. Mr. Re has handled trials and appeals in the state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations and mediations in other forums. He is also qualified and has served as an arbitrator in the Small Claims Court in New York City. Mr. Re received his B.A. degree from Columbia University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. He is admitted to the New York State Bar Association; the U.S. district courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western; districts of New York; the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. SCOTT R. SCHNEIDER has nearly 20 years of experience. His practice areas include bankruptcy law, business and commercial law, consumer protection, debtor/creditor and real estate law. Mr. Schneider received his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from C.W. Post College Campus of Long Island University and his J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and the U.S. District Court, for the Southern and Eastern districts of New York, the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York; and the U.S. District Court, Western District of New York. Mr. Schneider is a member of the Nassau County and Suffolk County bar associations and the New York State Bar Association.
