ROY W. BREITENBACH is a partner with the law firm of Garfunkel Wild, P.C., where he practices in the areas of commercial litigation, real estate and healthcare litigation. He has lectured on his areas of practice for the National Academy of Law, Greater New York Hospital Association, HealthCare Financial Management Association at St. John's University and the Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Corporation. Mr. Breitenbach is an editor for, and has had an article published in, the St. John's Law Review, titled "Perpich v. United States Department of Defense: Who Controls the Weekend Soldier." He also has written articles published by the Nassau Lawyer. Mr. Breitenbach earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from St. John's University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from St. John's University. He is a member of the New York State and American bar associations, and the Nassau County Bar. Prior to law school, Mr. Breitenbach worked as a title examiner, clearance officer and claims investigator. MICHAEL E. SHAY is a founding partner in the law firm of Shay & Maguire LLP, where he practices in the areas of liability defense litigation, including general, automobile, construction and premises liability. Mr. Shay has been practicing law for 31 years, and has lectured before attorney groups on a variety of topics. He is past president of the New York City Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the American and New York State bar associations. Mr. Shay earned his B.A. degree from Ithaca College and his J.D. degree from New York Law School. CHRIS P. TERMINI is an assistant at Suffolk County Attorney's Office, Civil Division, where he now concentrates his practice on the defense of municipal claims, employment matters and general litigation issues. As former special counsel to Nassau County and trial counsel for numerous insurance carriers, he has frequently lectured to various professional groups on defense of bodily injury claims and civil rights claims. He earned his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Termini is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
