DR. RENEE LAVERNE CLAUSELLE is assistant director and adjunct assistant professor/supervisor for the Center for Psychological Services and Clinical Studies at St. John's University. She earned her Psy.D. degree in school/child professional psychology at New York University and her B.A. degree in psychology and education at Rutgers University. Dr. Clauselle is a New York state-licensed psychologist, has a school psychology certificate, and is trained as an early childhood educator. She is also an adjunct assistant professor/supervisor for the Teacher's College at Columbia University. Her previous experience includes working as a mental health clinician. Dr. Clauselle is head school psychologist with St. John's University Center for Psychological Services Clinical Studies School Affiliate Program, and school psychologist at St. Mary's Hospital for Children, All About Kids Inc. and Rothman Therapeutic Services. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the National Association of School Psychologists and the New York Association of School Psychologists. Dr. Clauselle co-wrote “Bender Gestalt Recall as a Measure of Short-Term Visual Memory in Children and Adolescents with Psychotic and Other Severe Disorders,” Perceptual and Motor Skills, 95, 1233-1238, 2002. JACOB S. FELDMAN is a partner in the firm of Frazer & Feldman, LLP. The firm represents public school districts throughout Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester counties in education law, employment and labor relations matters. He is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York; the federal courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York; the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals; the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals; the Court of Federal Claims; and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Feldman has handled the defense of federal and state litigation involving constitutional, civil rights and discrimination claims; education law claims; seniority and tenure disputes; and numerous appeals before New York State and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeals. He has also handled the prosecution of numerous disciplinary proceedings, arbitrations and impartial hearings, as well as administrative proceedings administered by the AAA, the EEOC, PERB and the State Division of Human Rights. He is a frequent speaker in programs conducted by the Nassau County Bar Association, the New York State School Boards Association, the Nassau/Suffolk School Law Conference and the Long Island Association of School Personnel Administrators regarding special education, labor and employment law topics. Mr. Feldman is a former chairperson of the Nassau County Bar Association Education Law Committee and the author of "Americans With Disabilities Act: Employer Obligations,” Journal of Individual Employment Rights, Vol. 2, #2 1993, and "Discipline of Tenured Employees New York State Pursuant to § 3020-a," Journal of Collective Negotiations, Vol. 28, #2, 1999. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Brooklyn College and his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School. RANDY P. GLASSER is a member of the firm of Guercio & Guercio LLP, where she specializes in education, municipal and employment law. She has lectured on special education issues at the Annual School Law Conference held by the Suffolk & Nassau Academies of Law, and has trained arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association. Ms. Glasser held the position of staff attorney at Long Island Advocacy and Long Island Advocates, Inc., before joining Guercio & Guercio. She has presented numerous workshops for members of school administration and personnel, on numerous topics, such as sexual harassment, special education and student discipline and residency. Ms. Glasser also served as an associate professor at Adelphi University, and as an adjunct professor at Hofstra University and Long Island University. In addition, she was appointed arbitrator on various matters before the American Arbitration Association, New York Stock Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers. Ms. Glasser concentrates on various aspects of representing municipalities, including school districts, libraries, and water and fire districts. She has been a member of the Education Law and the Alternate Dispute Resolution committees at the Nassau County Bar Association and the Disabilities Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association. Ms. Glasser earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland and her J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law.
