MICHAEL J. CATALFIMO is a director at Carter, Conboy, Case, Blackmore, Maloney & Laird, P.C., where his practice areas include creditors' rights, business litigation, family law, healthcare, commercial law and real property law. Mr. Catalfimo is a former adjunct professor of business law at Skidmore College. He earned his B.A. degree, with all college honors, from Skidmore College and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Boston College. Mr. Catalfimo is a member of the Washington State, New York State and American bar associations; New York Trial Lawyers Association; the American Bankruptcy Institute; the American Legal and Financial Network; the Business Litigation Practice Group of ALFA International; and the Federation of Bar Associations, 4th Judicial District (current president). RODNEY D. MICHAEL is the owner of RDM Surveying Consultants in Troy, New York. He is board certified through the State of New York State Education Department of Engineering and Land Surveying. He oversees all client relations and follows all quality control matters as they relate to surveying. Mr. Michael has lectured before local realtor associations as well as for the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors conferences and is a past member that prepared the New York State examination for land surveyors. His company distributes a quarterly publication titled "Corner to Corner," which is material for real estate professionals and attorneys that deal with land surveying matters. Mr. Michael earned his associates degree from Hudson Valley Community College. He also trained at the United States Air Force Institute for four years in land surveying and has been mentored by local surveyors in the capitol district. Mr. Michael is a member of the New York State Association of Professional Land Surveyors, the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and is a past president of Eastern New York Society of Land Surveyors (ENYSLS). DOUGLAS J. ROSE is a partner with Tully Rinckey PLLC. He focuses his practice on complex litigation issues, including real estate, zoning, and land use. Mr. Rose also provides financial analysis for clients. He previously worked in the Albany office of Deily, Mooney, & Glastetter, LLP. Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Rose served in the United States Coast Guard. Deployed primarily on law enforcement patrol duties in the Caribbean, he achieved the rank of Lieutenant (junior grade). Mr. Rose earned his J.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a Dean's Merit Scholar. He subsequently earned his M.B.A. degree from the Carroll Graduate School of Management at Boston College, and served as a faculty research assistant while studying there. He earned his A.B. degree from Brown University. THOMAS W. SPINRAD is of examining counsel to the agency of Northway & Van Rensselaer Title Agency Inc., where he specializes in the areas of title underwriting, selective abstracting and closing of title insurance transactions, closing of commercial escrow transactions, closing loans for lenders and representation of purchasers, sellers and borrowers as attorneys and examination of foreclosure proceedings and the correction of defective foreclosures. He served as an adjunct professor at Hudson Valley Community College, teaching college courses in introduction to law, including theory of law, civil procedure, torts, crimes, contract law, agency, partnership and corporation law, real and personal property and sales, negotiable instruments and security interests under the Uniform Commercial Code. Mr. Spinrad has experience in presenting continuing legal education seminars and in instructing searchers and underwriters in real property title examination. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree from Albany Law School.
