JOHN E. BALLOW is the principal of The Ballow Law Firm, P.C., located in Buffalo, New York, where he specializes in the trial of cases involving personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death and construction site accidents. He is a graduate of Canisius College in Buffalo, New York and the Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Ballow is a former special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has been an adjunct professor of law at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School since 1998, where he teaches trial technique. Mr. Ballow is certified by both the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys in medical malpractice. He was involved in the representation of victims of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in a pro bono capacity. Mr. Ballow has written articles that have been published regarding medical malpractice and was a reviewer for The Federal Judicial Center's 2004 publication of the Manual for Complex Litigation, 4th Edition. EARL K. CANTWELL is an attorney with the law firm of Hurwitz & Fine, P.C., where he practices in civil litigation, commercial litigation and employment law litigation. He has lectured numerous times in his areas of expertise. Mr. Cantwell earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Canisius College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Erie County (served on the board of volunteer lawyers' project), the New York State (Business Law Section) and American bar associations; the Association of Trial Lawyers of America; and the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association. SCOTT DUQUIN is an attorney in the Litigation Department at Hurwitz & Fine, P.C., where he focuses his practice on insurance litigation matters, such as toxic tort litigation, catastrophic injury, automobile liability and product liability. He also has significant experience in business litigation matters, such as contract disputes, employee theft, unemployment hearings and bankruptcy matters. Mr. Duquin heads the firm's lead-based paint litigation practice, where he is regularly engaged in the defense of property owners and managers. He has also been a featured columnist on developments in lead-based paint litigation in the firm's biweekly electronic newsletter, Coverage Pointers. FEROLETO is a principal in the firm of John P. Feroleto, Attorney at Law, where he has practiced for more than 25 years. He has presented for national, state, provincial and local associations, including the American Association for Justice, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and various local or regional professional groups. Mr. Feroleto has served as the chair of the National Interstate Trucking Litigation Group of the American Association of Justice, and represents individuals injured by defective products and those injured at construction sites or the workplace, and trucking and transportation collisions. MICHELLE M. PARKER is a partner in the law firm of Anspach Meeks Ellenberger LLP, where her practice focuses on the defense of FELA litigation, professional malpractice, personal injury litigation, insurance coverage, municipal liability and workplace safety. She has lectured on numerous litigation topics for CLEs held by the Bar Association of Erie County, National Business Institute (NBI) and the New York Bar Association. Ms. Parker has been a guest on WNED-AM's The Law Line several times to discuss legal issues. She taught civil litigation to paralegal students at Hilbert College for 5 years. Mr. Zaccagnino also has been chosen as an arbitrator in numerous arbitration proceedings involving claims for personal injuries.
