MICHAEL D. BROFMAN is a member in the New Hyde Park law firm of Weiss & Zarett P.C., where he practices in the areas of bankruptcy law, debtor/creditor rights, non-judicial workouts and commercial litigation. He has lectured for the Nassau County and New York State bar associations on topics relating to his areas of practice, and is a frequent lecturer for National Business Institute on bankruptcy and secured creditor topics. Mr. Brofman is a member of the Nassau County (member, Bankruptcy and Bank sections) and the New York State (member, Committee on Bankruptcy Law and General Practice Section) bar associations, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Volunteer Lawyer's Project Pro Bono Bankruptcy Panel. He earned his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his J.D. degree from Fordham University. BARRY S. COHEN is a partner with Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, where his practice is devoted to assisting clients in achieving compliance with environmental laws and regulations, and in representing members of the regulated community in matters commenced by the U.S. EnvironmentalProtection Agency, the New York State Department of EnvironmentalConservation and local environmental and health agencies. Mr. Cohen also spends a substantial amount of time representing clients in connection with the investigation and remediation of contaminated properties, the redevelopment of those properties, and litigation. He earned his J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law, where he was the president of the Environmental Law Society and the founder and a contributing editor of the Hofstra Environmental Law Digest. Mr. Cohen also co-chaired the Suffolk County Bar Association's Environmental Law Committee for two terms. He is on the Boards of the Long Island Housing Partnership, the Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation, and serves on the "Good Earth Gala" committee for Cornell University's Cooperative Extension. EDWARD F. DULL is vice president and senior counsel to National Land Tenure Company, LLC, located in Garden City, New York. His responsibilities include title insurance law and real estate. Mr. Dull has lectured on title insurance to the New York State Bar Association and to the New York State Land Title Association. He was the state agency counsel for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company of New York and gave seminars to agents throughout the state of New York. Mr. Dull is a member of the Nassau County Land Association. He earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from St. John's University. DAVID PELLEGRINO is a partner with the law firm of Phillips Nizer LLP, with a practice emphasis on real estate-related matters. For more than 20 years, he has advised lenders, borrowers, developers, property owners, managing agents, boards, brokers, and individuals in both state and federal court on various issues including disputes between joint venturers, lien priorities, financing issues, statutory actions such as foreclosures, partitions and encroachments, and other real estate related litigation. Mr. Pellegrino regularly lectures on real estate litigation issues. He is an active member of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association and its Committee on the Civil Practice Law and Rules, which governs litigation in New York state courts; and the Federal Bar Council. Mr. Pellegrino earned his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his J.D. degree from St. John's University School of Law.
