SORAYA TABIBI AGUIRRE is a partner in the Carson City, Las Vegas, and Reno offices of Holland & Hart, where she is a member of the business ventures and estate planning practice groups. Ms. Aguirre focuses her practice on estate and family business planning, probate, executive compensation, and the law of tax-exempt entities. Ms. Aguirre was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP's New York office and was a member of that firm's estates and personal, executive compensation and benefits, and general practice groups. She advised individual, corporate and tax-exempt clients regarding numerous personal legal matters; complex estate planning and administration; tax; securities and labor law issues affecting executive compensation (often during the course of a merger or acquisition); residential real estate transactions; issues relating to public charities and private foundations; and general business law. Ms. Aguirre also gave continuing legal education courses on estate planning for retirement benefits and co-wrote a presentation and article on non-qualified deferred compensation legislation. She earned her bachelor's degree in international affairs, magna cum laude, from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. There, she was a law fellow for legal research and writing, an editor of The Tax Lawyer, and earned an award for the best exam in international business transactions. Ms. Aguirre is licensed to practice law in the states of New York and Nevada. She is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the State Bar of Nevada and the American Bar Association. TIMOTHY RILEY is an attorney in the Reno office of Holland & Hart and a member of the firm's private client and tax practice groups. Mr. Riley focuses his practice mainly in estate and family business planning, tax-exempt entities and probate, as well as the areas of trust administration and corporate law. Previously, Mr. Riley was involved in negotiating tax settlements with the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of clients. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of San Diego and his J.D. and LL.M. degrees in taxation from the University of Denver. Mr. Riley is licensed to practice law in Nevada and Colorado. He is a member of the Washoe County and Colorado bar associations, the State Bar of Nevada, as well as the American Bar Association. RICHARD P. SCHULZE is the sole shareholder in the Schulze Law Group, and a principal in Veritas Wealth Advisors, a full service wealth counseling firm, with offices in Reno, Nevada and the San Diego area of California. Mr. Schulze's practice emphasizes estate planning, tax asset protection planning, and tax planning. He is a frequent lecturer and author on tax and estate planning topics for financial professionals, CPA's and attorneys. Mr. Schulze is a member of the American Bar Association (Taxation and Real Property and Probate and Trusts sections), the Oregon State Bar and the State Bar of Nevada (Tax Law, Probate and Trust Law, and Business Law sections), WealthCounsel LLC and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He earned his B.A. degree from Reed College in Portland, Oregon; his M.B.A. degree in management from Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University; and his J.D. degree from Willamette University College of Law. DAY R. WILLIAMS is a solo practitioner in Carson City, Nevada. His main areas of practice include civil rights, business law, personal injury, and estate planning. Mr. Williams is admitted to the State Bar of Nevada, the Federal Bar, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He also is involved in the Nevada Justice Association and the State Bar of Nevada Fee Dispute Committee. Mr. Williams earned her B.A. degree from Reed College and her J.D. degree from the University of Arizona College of Law.
