DARREN T. BRENNER is an attorney in the Las Vegas law firm of Lewis and Roca LLP, where he practices in the areas of insurance coverage, personal injury and commercial litigation. He earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and was a member of the Order of the Coif. Mr. Brenner is a member of the Defense Research Institute and was recently identified as a Rising Star in the 2009 edition of Mountain States Super Lawyers, in the area of civil litigation defense. RILEY A. CLAYTON is a partner in the firm of Hall Jaffe & Clayton, LLP, where he practices in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, catastrophic injury defense, professional errors and omissions defense, and attorney malpractice. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Utah and his J.D. degree from Brigham Young University. Mr. Clayton has lectured to various professional groups on ethical related matters. He is a member of the Clark County Bar Association and the State Bar of Nevada. JAY KENYON is a principal partner with Yan Kenyon in Las Vegas, where his practice consists exclusively of all aspects of claims and civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury. His main areas of expertise include premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, burn injuries, brain and spinal cord injuries, injuries to children, products liability, assaults, animal attacks, and wrongful detentions. Mr. Kenyon is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, the State Bar of California, the Clark County Bar Association and the Nevada Justice Association. His published articles include: U.S. v. Smith: Making ERISA Pension Benefits Judgment Proof, 81 Iowa L. Rev. 461 (1997) and also The Interest of the State in Supplying Children with Condoms in Schools, 2 LegalBrief L.J. 4 (1998). Mr. Kenyon earned his B.A. degrees from the University of Kansas and his J.D. degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law. MICHAEL A. KONING is the sole practitioner with the Law Office of Michael A. Koning and has been a personal injury litigation trial attorney for more than 30 years. He is a member of the State Bar of Nevada. Mr. Koning worked the first 18 years of his legal career as an insurance defense attorney and has represented plaintiffs for the last 14 years. During the course of his career, he has participated in and directed the litigation of thousands of personal injury lawsuits, including having been lead attorney in approximately eighty trials. Mr. Koning presently serves as a judge pro tem in the Nevada Short Trial Program and as a volunteer judge for the Clark County Bar Association's Trial by Peers Program. He earned his J.D. degree from American University, Washington College of Law.
