PETER M. ANGULO is a shareholder and currently serves on the Board of Directors at the law firm of Olson Cannon Gormley & Desruisseaux in Las Vegas. Mr. Angulo's areas of practice include insurance-related matters, domestic law, professional negligence (legal and accounting), bad faith, automobile defense, employment law, wrongful death, civil rights and appellate advocacy. He has handled more than 30 trials in state and federal court and more than 100 appeals to both the Nevada and U.S. Supreme Courts, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Angulo earned his B.S. degree from Arizona State University and his J.D. degree from J. Reuben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. District Court, District of Nevada, U.S. Supreme Court and the Nevada Supreme Court. Mr. Angulo is an arbitrator under Nevada's Court Annexed Arbitration Program and an arbitrator/mediator for the Nevada State Bar Fee Dispute Program. He is a national lecturer on civil rights, litigation, and litigation avoidance strategies. Mr. Angulo is a member of the Nevada State Bar Disciplinary Committee (Southern Division) and regional chair for the Nevada State Bar Fee Dispute Committee, Panel "C". He is also a member of the Clark County and American bar associations, American Trial Lawyers Association, and Nevada Trial Lawyers Association. S. DON BENNION is of counsel with the law firm of Morris Polich & Purdy LLP, in Las Vegas. Mr. Bennion is a seasoned attorney with trial experience in state and federal courts for southern and northern Nevada. The primary focuses of his practice are commercial and construction litigation, premises liability, employment, real estate and gaming law. His current and former clients include the Bank of New York, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Clark County, Nevada, Allstate Insurance Company, Huntridge Performing Arts Theatre, many casinos, Insurance Outlet and hundreds of construction companies. Mr. Bennion has conducted many mock trials for clients interested in evaluating potential jury verdict outcomes. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Utah and his J.D. degree from J. Reuben Clark School of Law, Brigham Young University. His court admissions include the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. Mr. Bennion is a member of the Las Vegas City Arts Council, Nevada State Bar Association and Clark County Bar Association. E. BRENT BRYSON is a practitioner in Las Vegas, Nevada, with approximately 60% of his practice dedicated to civil litigation with an emphasis on plaintiff's cases. The remainder of his practice is dedicated to select criminal and family law cases. Mr. Bryson has litigated extensively in cases involving premises liability, excessive and unreasonable force used by hotel and casino security guards, as well as §1983 Civil Rights actions. He obtained one of the largest settlements in the history of Nevada for a police excessive force case. Additionally, Mr. Bryson was able to advance one of the few "Ecstasy drug cases" against an establishment for wrongful death in the country. He was also lead plaintiff's counsel in a case against the Appalachian School of Law that drew both national and international attention involving the shooting and killing of students and faculty by a disgruntled former student. The case settled for policy limits prior to any depositions being taken. Additionally, he was lead counsel in a case against a hotel casino in Laughlin, Nevada which resulted in the only jury verdict against the hotel casino for its conduct surrounding the melee between the Hells Angels and Mongols Motorcycle Clubs during the 2002 Laughlin River Run. Mr. Bryson represented O.J. Simpson's co-defendent Clarence Stewart in the infamous criminal trial regarding Mr. Simpson's attempted recovery of property in Nevada. He also successfully argued Mr. Stewart's appeal before the Nevada Supreme Court which resulted in Mr. Stewart's conviction being overturned. In addition to arguing before the Nevada Supreme Court, Mr. Bryson has argued before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as conducting trials at all levels in both the State and Federal Courts of Nevada. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Arizona and his J.D. degree from Whittier College School of Law. Mr. Bryson is a current or former member of the Clark County and American bar associations, the State Bar of Nevada, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Supreme Court Historical Society and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Additionally, he has been a frequent commentator for television news stations. Mr. Bryson has lectured and written in the areas of trial advocacy, deposition strategy and police liability. THOMAS D. DILLARD JR. is a partner in the law firm of Olson Cannon Gormley & Desruisseaux in Las Vegas. Mr. Dillard's primary area of practice is civil rights defense, particularly 42 U.S.C.§ 1983 cases for police misconduct and municipal liability. He earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Utah in 1994 and 1997, respectively. Mr. Dillard was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 1997. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court of Nevada, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
