JEREMY K. COOPER is a partner with Cooper Coons, Ltd. His practice is focused on estate planning, asset protection, trust administration, probate and any matters related to these areas of law. Mr. Cooper is currently a member of the Nevada Society of CPAs and the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council. He also serves on the UNLV Planned Giving Professional Advisors Council, the College of Southern Nevada Planned Giving Council and the Goodwill of Southern Nevada Audit Committee. Mr. Cooper speaks Spanish fluently and has been able to provide estate planning and asset protection services to many Spanish speaking clients over the years. He has authored many publications including: "Nevada Laws Provide Top Trust Situs," co-authored with David M. Grant, Nevada Lawyer, May 2010; "A Refresher on Grantor Trusts and Their Income Tax Filing Options," Silver State CPA, September 2009; "Nevada Takes the Lead: Charging Order Protection is Now Available for Small Corporations," co-authored with David M. Grant, Communiqué, May 2009; and "Charging Order Protected Entities and Their Role in Wealth Preservation," co-authored with Jeffrey L. Burr, Journal of Financial Service Professionals, May 2009. Mr. Cooper earned his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University. Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, he continued his education at BYU, where he earned a master's degree in accounting with an emphasis in taxation. Mr. Cooper earned his J.D. degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. ALAN D. FREER is a member of the Las Vegas law firm of Solomon, Dwiggins, Freer & Morse, Ltd., where he focuses his practice primarily on trust and estate litigation. Mr. Freer also handles all aspects of trust and estate administration, and routinely represents beneficiaries and fiduciaries in contested matters. Prior to forming Solomon, Dwiggins, Freer & Morse, Ltd., he worked as a litigation associate at Lionel Sawyer & Collins. He was a member of the firm's Trusts and Estates Practice Group. Mr. Freer is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, where he serves on the Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility; and on the Probate and Trust Section Legislative Committee. He also is a member of the Clark County Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada and the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. JOHN R. MUGAN is an attorney with Jeffrey Burr Ltd. Mr. Mugan is an accomplished attorney with more than thirty years of extensive estate planning and business law experience, including estate and trust litigation. He has represented numerous individual and corporate fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and litigants throughout his professional career. Mr. Mugan is a frequent speaker on estate planning and estate/trust litigation to professional association and institutions, and has testified as an expert witness. Mr. Mugan is past president of the Siouxland Estate Planning Council and of the Woodbury County Bar Association. He is also a member of the Southern Nevada Estate Planning Council, the Probate and Trust sections of the Nevada State Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the Nevada Justice Association. Mr. Mugan is a member of the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in Nevada, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Tax Court. He earned his J.D. degree from Creighton University School of Law.
