BRIAN L. BRADFORD practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on business litigation with the law firm Anderson McPharlin & Conners LLP. He has conducted all aspects of pre-trial litigation before state and federal courts in several areas of specialty, including employment practices liability, civil rights litigation, insurance coverage, bad faith and premises liability. He has obtained successful results for clients at trial, including defense verdicts in a premises liability action for a local restaurant as well as a negligent hiring action for a hotel and casino. A native of Compton, California, Mr. Bradford moved to Colorado to join the United States Air Force Academy. As a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force, he provided valuable leadership in anti-terrorism planning and operations. He attained the rank of Captain before attending law school. Mr. Bradford earned his B.S. degree from the United States Air Force Academy and his J.D. degree from William S. Boyd School of Law where he worked for the school's Nevada Law Journal and graduated as the William S. Boyd Outstanding Graduate of 2004. Thereafter, Mr. Bradford served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Philip M. Pro, U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. He previously taught the following National Business Institute seminars: Wage and Hour Law Update, 2007; Human Resources Update, 2008, Employment Laws Made Simple, 2009, and Dirty Litigation Tactics: How to Deal With the "Rambo" Litigator. KRISTINA S. HOLMAN has practiced in Las Vegas in the area of employment law since 1990. She generally represents employees but also represents employers/corporations in employment law matters involving discrimination (sex, age, race, disability, religion, etc.) as well as related matters. Ms. Holman has lectured and written articles on employment law issues. Ms. Holman was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, earning her B.S. degree from Seattle University, and her J.D. degree from Seattle University School of Law. She is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), the State Bar of Nevada, the American Bar Association, the Clark County Bar Association, the Southern Nevada Association of Women Attorneys (vice president), and the Nevada American Inn of Court (master). JEFFREY D. WINCHESTER is a attorney with Jackson Lewis LLP, where he handles matters ranging from single-plaintiff discrimination lawsuits to wage and hour collective actions. In addition to his representation of clients in employment matters, Mr. Winchester conducts preventive training and seminars on a variety of workplace law topics and has taught at a continuing legal education program for lawyers sponsored by the State Bar of Nevada. He also advises employers regarding employee handbooks, policies and procedures, discipline, terminations, and employment contracts. Before entering Cornell Law School, where he served on the editorial board of The Cornell Law Review, Mr. Winchester lived and worked in Tokyo, Japan, where he was on the faculty of a medical school. After graduating from Cornell, he clerked for the Honorable David M. Ebel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. Mr. Winchester is a contributing editor to The Developing Labor Law, and he has co-written articles on numerous labor and employment topics, including employer strategies for avoiding class-action lawsuits, strike notices under the NLRA, and employee dress codes. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada; U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio and the Sixth and Tenth Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals. He is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the Ohio State Bar Association. Mr. Winchester earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Arizona, his M.Ed. degree from Temple University, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Cornell Law School.
