BRIAN BRADFORD practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation with an emphasis on business litigation with the law firm Anderson McPharlin & Conners LLP. He has conducted all aspects of pre-trial litigation before state and federal courts in several areas of specialty, including employment practices liability, civil rights litigation, insurance coverage, bad faith and premises liability. He has obtained successful results for clients at trial, including defense verdicts in a premises liability action for a local restaurant as well as a negligent hiring action for a hotel and casino. A native of Compton, California, Mr. Bradford moved to Colorado to join the United States Air Force Academy. As a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force, he provided valuable leadership in anti-terrorism planning and operations. He attained the rank of Captain before attending law school. Mr. Bradford earned his B.S. degree from the United States Air Force Academy and his J.D. degree from William S. Boyd School of Law where he served on the school's Nevada Law Journal and graduated as the William S. Boyd Outstanding Graduate of 2004. Thereafter, Mr. Bradford served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Philip M. Pro, U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. He previously taught the following National Business Institute seminars; Wage and Hour Law Update, 2007; Human Resources Update, 2008 and Employment Laws Made Simple, 2009. JACK P. BURDEN is a shareholder in the firm of Backus & Carranza, where his areas of practice include insurance defense, premise liability, professional liability defense, commercial litigation and products liability. He is admitted to practice in Nevada and before the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Burden earned his B.A. degree from the University of Nevada and his J.D. degree from Texas Southern University. He is a member of the Clark County and American bar associations, the State Bar of Nevada and the Defense Research Institute (member, Young Lawyers and Trial Tactics committees). R. DUANE FRIZELL is a partner with the Las Vegas law firm of Callister & Frizell. Mr. Frizell practices in the areas of business, commercial litigation and appeals, as well as estate, probate and tax litigation. He has previously lectured on ethical issues for attorneys at continuing legal education seminars. Mr. Frizell is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the Clark County Bar Association, and also is admitted to practice in the states of Texas and New Mexico. He earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Brigham Young University and his J.D. degree from the University of Maryland. MARTIN J. KRAVITZ is a managing partner in the Las Vegas law firm of Kravitz, Schnitzer, Sloane & Johnson, where the focus of his practice is litigation in commercial law, insurance law and personal injury defense. He also is managing partner of a second law firm, Christian-Kravitz, LLC, which focuses on insurance law and bad faith litigation. Mr. Kravitz has served as a trustee for the Clark County School Board for four years, and has served as a member of the state bar's Southern Nevada Disciplinary Panel since 1996. He has been practicing in Nevada since 1977. Mr. Kravitz has screened hundreds of ethical complaints against attorneys and participated in numerous disciplinary hearings. He also has served as a short trial judge since 2005, and acted as a mediator and binding arbitrator in numerous cases. Mr. Kravitz earned his B.A. degree from the University of Denver and his J.D. degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific. He is a member of the Clark County and American bar associations, the State Bar of Nevada (former member, Fee Dispute Panel) and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Kravitz was also inducted as a member of the prestigious Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel, which selectively limits membership to highly experienced corporate or defense trial lawyers and the general counsel to fortune 500 companies.
