DAVID AVAKIAN is an attorney with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP. Mr. Avakian focuses his practice in the area of general liability and hospitality litigation. He was Clark County Pro Bono Honor Role in 2005. Mr. Avakian is a member of the State Bar of Nevada (Young Lawyer's Section) and the American Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Tulane University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from William S. Boyd School of Law. SEAN K. CLAGGETT is the founder of Sean K. Claggett & Associates LLC, where his main areas of practice include personal injury, civil litigation, real estate litigation and criminal defense. Mr. Claggett has resolved numerous multi-million dollar real estate disputes. He has also successfully settled millions of dollars in personal injury claims. He has obtained well over $30 million in judgments for his clients through litigation. Mr. Claggett has been recognized by Legal Aid of Southern Nevada for the pro bono work he has done over the past eight years. Mr. Claggett was previously elected by his peers to serve on the board of the Boyd's Alumni Association, where he has served as vice president and incoming president. His success as a trial lawyer has allowed him to expand his philanthropic passion. He and his firm have donated both time and money to numerous charities. Mr. Claggett earned his B.A. degree from UNLV and his J.D. degree from Boyd School of Law. In 2010, he was named the Alumni of the Year for the Boyd School of Law, which is the highest and most prestigious alumni award given by the school. PAUL M. HAIRE is of counsel with the Las Vegas law firm of Smith Larsen & Wixom, where he practices primarily in the areas of general liability and commercial litigation. As both a plaintiff and defense practitioner for nearly 20 years, Mr. Haire has litigated and tried a variety of cases. He has and continues to serve regularly as a private arbitrator and mediator. Mr. Haire earned a dual-major B.S. degree from Brigham Young University in finance and Japanese. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma. He is a graduate of the NITA Trial Advocacy Skills program and is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of both Nevada and Oklahoma. BRIAN P. WORTHINGTON is a partner in the law firm of Ryan Mercaldo & Worthington LLP, where his practice is concentrated in the areas of civil litigation, insurance coverage and appellate practice. He has lectured for various professional groups on insurance coverage and appellate law. Mr. Worthington is admitted to practice in California, Illinois and Nevada. He is a member of the San Diego County (former chair, Appellate Court Committee) and Clark County bar associations. Mr. Worthington is the chair of the San Diego County Delegation to the California State Bar Conference. He earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his J.D. degree from the University of San Diego.
