CULLEN HALLMARK is a shareholder with the Santa Fe law firm of Garber & Hallmark, P.C., where he has a general civil practice including estate planning and administration, real estate and litigation. He has lectured on estate planning and administration to various professional groups. Mr. Hallmark earned his B.A. degree from St. John's College and his J.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico, the State Bar of Texas and the First Judicial District Bar Association (former Board of Directors, 1995-98, president, 1998). GAELLE D. McCONNELL is an attorney in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where her main areas of practice are almost exclusively contested and uncontested probate matters, guardianship/conservatorship, estate planning and business planning. She graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of New Mexico and earned her J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of New Mexico. Ms. McConnell is admitted to practice in New Mexico and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. She is a member of the Albuquerque and American bar associations as well as the State Bar of New Mexico (member, Elder Law and Real Property Section and Probate and Trust Section). Ms. McConnell is a member and director of the Estate Planning Council. Additionally, Ms. McConnell serves on various committees and boards within the community. She frequently speaks on legal ethics, law office management, probate, estate planning and business entity topics. Ms. McConnell was recently elected to The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Trusts and Estates. STEVAN J. SCHOEN is a sole practitioner in San Doval County where he has a general business practice emphasizing real estate and probate law. He received his B.S. degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, his J.D. degree from the Cornell Law School and his master's degree in international law from Cambridge University. Mr. Schoen is a past chairman of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar of New Mexico. He is a past chairman of The New Mexico Probate Judges Association and served as Probate Judge for Sandoval County, New Mexico from 1991 to 1998. He is a past chairman of the New Mexico Supreme Court Committee on forms for the Probate Court, past chairman of the Senior Lawyers Section of the State Bar of New Mexico and the former co-chair of the New Mexico State Bar's Committee on Bench and Bar Relations. VICKIE R. WILCOX is an attorney in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she practices in the areas of estate planning, tax law, probate, estate and trust administration, charitable giving, guardianships and conservatorships, and business planning. She has lectured to brokers, attorneys, accountants and others on estate planning, charitable giving, planning related to qualified retirement benefits, and legal ethics. Ms. Wilcox is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the category of tax law and in the category of trusts and estates law. She also has been honored by the Albuquerque Community Foundation, receiving the "Excellence in Charitable Gift Planning" award. Ms. Wilcox serves on the board of trustees for the Albuquerque Community Foundation, and is chairing the Professional Advisor Group. She also is on the board of the New Mexico Chapters of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Financial Planning Association. Ms. Wilcox earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from George Washington University and her LL.M. degree from New York University. She attended the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she was a published author in the New Mexico Law Review. While at the University of New Mexico School of Law, she also received honors in clinical practice and in the study of legal and judicial ethics.
