JAMES C. ELLIS is an attorney with the Whitener Law Firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He practices civil litigation and enjoys jury trials. Automobile collision cases, medical negligence cases and 42 U.S.C. ยง 1983 civil rights cases make up the bulk of his practice. He is a long-standing member of the American Trial Lawyer Association and New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of New Mexico on a Navy ROTC scholarship and graduated in three and a half years. He was commissioned an Ensign in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. His first ship was the U.S.S. McDonough, DLG 8, a guided missile destroyer. He spent four years on active duty in Charleston, South Carolina. He attended two years at the University of Puget Sound School of Law in Tacoma, Washington and transferred to the UNM School of Law for his third year, graduating in 1980 with his J.D. degree. He was in the United States Naval Reserves for 7 years and his duty included being the commanding officer of the U.S.S. Haleakala Reserve Unit. JOSEPH M. FINE is the senior partner of The Fine Law Firm in Albuquerque, where his practice consists primarily of personal injury, wrongful death, police misconduct, products liability, malpractice law, arbitration and mediation. He is certified in civil trial advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is a fellow of the National College of Advocacy. Mr. Fine has been a seminar speaker for the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, the Albuquerque Bar Association and the State Bar of New Mexico. Mr. Fine was recently named in Albuquerque Magazine's list of Albuquerque Top Lawyers and is listed in Southwest Superlawyers. He earned his B.A. degree from Colby College and his J.D. degree from Syracuse University. Mr. Fine is admitted to practice in New York and New Mexico, where he is on the New Mexico Medical Review Committee. He also is a member of the Albuquerque Bar Association, the State Bar of New Mexico, the American Trial Lawyers Association and the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association. JAMES P. LYLE is a sole practitioner with the Law Offices of James P. Lyle, P.C. in Albuquerque, where he practices primarily in the areas of products liability, environmental contaminations, medical malpractice, employment and civil rights claims on behalf of individuals, private businesses and governmental entities. He has spoken numerous times on general liability, civil practice, products liabilities and other issues for various organizations. Mr. Lyle is a past adjunct professor with the University of New Mexico School of Law. He earned his B.S. degree, with distinction, from the University of New Mexico, College of Engineering and his J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico, School of Law.
