MARLA CASTNER is a senior tax manager at Moss Adams, LLP, with 29 years of experience in public accounting. The main focus of her career has been taxation and one of the primary areas of concentration has been estate and gift taxation. Prior to moving to New Mexico in 2000, Ms. Castner worked for a small certified public accounting firm in New York, where she gained significant experience in estate, gift and fiduciary taxation. She also is experienced in corporate and partnership taxation and provides consultation for real estate related taxation issues such as like kind exchanges and installment sales. Ms. Castner has provided public speaking to clients and organizations on an array of topics including record retention, estate and gift taxation, like kind exchanges, and family limited partnerships. She is licensed to practice as a certified public accountant in New Mexico and New York and is a member of the AICP. Ms. Castner also is a treasurer for Keep New Mexico Beautiful. JILL A. DOUTHETT is a sole practitioner in Rio Rancho, New Mexico where she practices in the areas of business formation, LLCs, construction law, franchising and distribution, estate and business succession planning, general business and contract law. She has spoken before various groups on her areas of practice. Ms. Douthett earned her B.A. degree from Tulane University in Louisiana, her J.D. degree from the University of Virginia and she attended London School of Economics. She is a member of the American and Sandoval County bar associations and the State Bar of New Mexico. LYNN MCKEEVER is an attorney at the Lynn McKeever Law Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ms. McKeever works with individuals and families whose contact with the legal system is infrequent. She also works with business owners and managers. Ms. McKeever earned her B.A. degree, special honors, from the University of Chicago and her J.D. degree from the University of Iowa. She is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico (Real Property and Probate Section, Wills, Trusts and Estate Section, Elderlaw Section (current secretary), New Mexico Estate Planning Council, New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association, National Academy of Elderlaw Attorneys, Albuquerque Independent Business Owners Association, National Association of Parliamentarians and New Mexico Bar Foundation.
