JASON BURNETTE is a partner at the law firm of Vogel and Burnette in Albuquerque where he practices in the areas of employment and civil rights law, generally from an employer or management perspective. Prior to forming the law firm, Mr. Burnette was a sole practitioner representing employees. He earned his B.S. degree from Appalachian State University and his J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico. JEFFREY A. DAHL is a member of the law firm of Keleher & McLeod, P.A., in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has handled more than 250 bench trials and more than 75 jury trials to completion over the past twenty years. Mr. Dahl has engaged in substantial trial work and business litigation. The majority of his trial work is in civil litigation (general liability defense, civil rights litigation and employment litigation). He is admitted to all state courts, the U.S. District Court for New Mexico, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, Pro Hoc Vice appearances in Texas and Arizona courts, and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Dahl is a frequent lecturer in his areas of expertise and a former faculty member at the University of Phoenix (graduate and undergraduate). He was the CLE chairman for the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of New Mexico and was chairman of the State Bar of New Mexico's Employment and Labor Relations Committee. Mr. Dahl earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Utah and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University-Provo, Utah. Mr. Dahl is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of New Mexico (Trial Practice and Employment Law sections) and the Albuquerque Bar Association. LAURIE A. VOGEL is a partner at Vogel and Burnette in Albuquerque, where she practices in employment and civil rights law from an employer or management perspective. The State Bar of New Mexico has recognized Ms. Vogel as a specialist in employment and labor law. She has taught legal issues in employment for the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute and for the U.S. Department of Energy's Central Training Academy. Ms. Vogel earned her B.A. degree from the University of Montana and her J.D. degree from the University of Idaho. She is a member of the State Bar of New Mexico (member, Employment Law Section), the American Bar Association (member, Law Practice Management Section) and the Society for Human Resources Management. LORNA M. WIGGINS is a shareholder in the Albuquerque law firm of Wiggins, Williams & Wiggins, P.C. She has practiced primarily in the areas of labor and employment law and she started practicing law in New Mexico after completing a judicial clerkship. Much of Ms. Wiggins' practice includes advising management on various personnel issues, including hiring, discipline, termination and layoff issues, negotiating employment contracts, non-compete agreements, patent waiver agreements, and assisting management in developing and implementing personnel policies. She regularly assists management in certification and decertification elections, negotiating union contracts, arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges. Ms. Wiggins regularly defends employers before the New Mexico Human Right Commission, the EEOC, the OFCCP, the NLRB, and state and federal courts. She routinely provides training to employers in recognizing and eliminating discrimination and harassment in the workplace, and is a frequent lecturer on labor and employment law. Ms. Wiggins attended Southern Methodist University and earned her B.S. degree, cum laude, from the University of North Dakota and her J.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law.
