ORLANDO LUCERO is vice president/escrow officer at Stewart Title of Albuquerque LLC. He joined Stewart Title in 2004, after 20 years as a real estate lawyer in private practice. A graduate of Stanford University and Stanford Law School, Mr. Lucero's practice emphasized complex real estate transactions of all types. He now focuses on closing complex commercial transactions. Mr. Lucero is a frequent lecturer and writer on topics related to real estate transactions, title insurance and business entities. He is a contributing author to The Commercial Property Lease, Vols. II and III (American Bar Association 1997 and 2000); co-author of "Tenant Remedies: an Oxymoron" published in Probate and Property (January/February 1998) and The Best of the American Bar Association (Fall 1998); and the author of "The Nuts and Bolts of Commercial Lease Listing Agreements" published in Probate and Property (July/August 2000). Mr. Lucero currently is the chair of the Real Estate Law Section of the State Bar of New Mexico; is a member of the council of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Trust Section; and he also chairs the Section's Standing Committee on Diversity. JAMES T. REIST is an attorney with Tax Estate & Business Law, Ltd.. He currently serves as co-chair of the Ethics Advisory Committee of the State Bar of New Mexico, and has been a member of that committee for more than 10 years. Mr. Reist's practice is primarily in the areas of commercial disputes and bankruptcy. He is a frequent lecturer on his areas of practice for various professional groups and organizations. He earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from Wright State University and his J.D. degree from The Ohio State University. Mr. Reist is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the U.S. He is a member of the Albuquerque Inn of Courts. He is a board member of the Albuquerque Bar Association and member of the H. Verle Payne Inn of Courts. DAN A. RIBBLE is an experienced litigation and conflict resolution lawyer with extensive practice in both state and federal court systems. Mr. Ribble tries cases in numerous locations and has concluded hundreds of cases by negotiation, verdict and appeal. He has been successfully helping people understand their rights and how best to keep them for more than 30 years. His professional contacts follow the geographical pattern of his practice and have been lead counsel on cases from a number of states including, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, California, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Illinois, Iowa, Nevada and more. Mr. Ribble is a member of the trial bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, due in part to his regular litigation activity in that venue. Along with New Mexico, he is licensed in Illinois and Minnesota. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign and his J.D. degree from the University of Illinois College of Law. Mr. Ribble is admitted to practice for the United States District Court For the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court For New Mexico, the United States District Court For Minnesota, the United States District Court Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for Iowa, the United States District Court for Wisconsin, the United States District Court For Nebraska, the United States District Court For Colorado and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. JAMES S. RUBIN is a co-founder of the Rubin Katz Law Firm. In addition to real estate and land use law, his practice has emphasized business, banking, commercial and entities law. He is a frequent speaker at professional education forums and has acted as counsel in real estate transactions across New Mexico and the United States. Mr. Rubin is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and in the State of New Mexico, and has served as chairman of the Real Estate Specialty Committee of the State Bar of New Mexico Board of Legal Specialization (1992-1998). He earned his B.S.B.A. degree from Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University and his J.D. degree from the University of Illinois College of Law.
