JULIE BISHOP is a sole practitioner in Albuquerque with Bishop Law PC. She received both her B.A degree in psychology and criminology and her J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico. Prior to law school, Ms. Bishop worked with the 2nd Judicial District Court, Domestic Violence Division, where she worked closely with judges, commissioners and legislators in contributing to a statutory change to the New Mexico Family Violence Protection Act, and provided statewide training related to these changes. After law school, she joined the District Attorney's Office as a prosecutor, where she handled complex multi-case felony prosecution. Ms. Bishop is trained in family law dispute resolution, advanced mediation and collaborative law. She provides legal services in the fields of domestic relations mediation, settlement facilitation, guardian ad litem representation, divorce, domestic violence, child custody and support, property division, alimony, division of retirement funds, mediation, and issues related to same-sex relationships. Ms. Bishop is an active member of the Albuquerque Collaborative Practice Group, as well as serving as a board member of the New Mexico Collaborative Practice Group and the New Mexico Intimate Partner Violence Death Review Team. VIRGINIA R. DUGAN is a partner of the law firm of Atkinson & Kelsey, P.A., in Albuquerque, where she practices in divorce and family law. She is a family law specialist for the State Bar of New Mexico. Ms. Dugan received her B.A. degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz and her M.A., Ed.D. and J.D. degrees from the University of New Mexico. She has taught several seminars including: "Family Law Litigation," "Domestic Relations, Part I: Property Issues" and "Domestic Relations, Part II: Property Issues." Ms. Dugan is a member of the Albuquerque and American bar associations, the State Bar of New Mexico (president, 2006) and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. MARTHA J. KASER, JD, LMSW, practices with New Mexico Legal Group in Albuquerque. She has nearly 30 years of family law experience, including a focus on complex divorce cases, mediation, settlement facilitation and guardian ad litem appointments. With an advanced degree in social work and experience as a therapist and mediator, Ms. Kaser knows how to facilitate and foster cooperative settlement of high conflict cases. She is widely recognized as one of the leaders in the field of domestic relations mediation, settlement facilitation and guardian ad litem representation. Ms. Kaser frequently serves as a speaker for programs and conferences focusing on divorce and family law. She also has recently been elected to serve on the Family Law Section Board. She is a member of both the State Bar of New Mexico and the State Bar of Michigan. DR. THERESA MILLER, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist with 35 years of experience in the field of mental health. Currently, Dr. Miller is in private practice providing clinical and forensic services to families. This includes co-parent counseling, couples therapy, individual therapy and custody evaluations. For 11 years, she worked for the 2nd Judicial District Family Court Clinic as a custody evaluator and mediator; and as director of the Family Assessment and Intervention Resource Program, a research and treatment program for families experiencing domestic abuse. She earned her Ph.D. degree in counseling psychology and her M.A. degree in counselor education from the University of New Mexico. BETSY SALCEDO has been practicing as an attorney since 2002, when she began working with the Pueblo of Isleta as their tribal advocate in Isleta Pueblo Tribal Court. She also worked for the Office of the Public Defender and the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General, Litigation Division. Ms. Salcedo began working at the New Mexico CSED in 2007 where she acts as special assistant attorney general. She received her B.A. degree in psychology from the University of New Mexico and her J.D. degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
