JAY H. BERNSTEIN manages the Workers' Compensation practice of Kirsch, Gelband & Stone, P.A. in Newark, New Jersey. He specializes in emergency motions for medical treatment and surgery. Mr. Bernstein's practice also includes Social Security Disability Law and appellate practice (pro bono criminal Constitutional law for the New Jersey Public Defender). He has more than 20 years of experience, and has represented thousands of injured workers throughout New Jersey. Mr. Bernstein has been named as a Certified Workers' Compensation attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He served as a legal clerk for the Ministry of Justice, State of Israel, in Jerusalem and as a legal intern for Congressman Torricelli in the U.S. Congress. Mr. Bernstein also served as a legal aid attorney representing homeless children and families in Trenton, New Jersey. He is an avid legal writer, having been published in numerous legal publications and newspapers including the Star Ledger and New Jersey Law Journal. Mr. Bernstein also testified before the New Jersey Senate Labor Committee Meeting on reforming Workers' Compensation laws to increase benefits for injured workers. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. Mr. Bernstein earned his B.A. degree from the University of Rochester and his J.D. degree from Syracuse University of Law. DAVID S. BROSS is a trial attorney with Bross & Group, P.A., who concentrates in Social Security disability/SSI claims, personal injury and insurance litigation, and workers' compensation. Mr. Bross has been licensed in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania since 1981. He was formerly a benefit authorizer for the Social Security Administration. Mr. Bross is a sustaining and active member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR), the New Jersey chapter of the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA), and various county associations. He has served as an insurance arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association and the court-administered arbitration programs in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Philadelphia counties. Mr. Bross is also a certified arbitrator for the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Bross speaks frequently on disability and insurance issues to various local groups, as well as to physicians and attorneys. Mr. Bross earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers University and his J.D. degree from Rutgers School of Law.
