LOUIS A. EVANS is of counsel to Herrick Feinstein LLP in the Real Estate Department. He brings 30 years of experience in environmental law to his practice, which focuses on environmental issues in connection with development and redevelopment projects, real estate management and remediation of contaminated properties. Mr. Evans also advises clients with regard to environmental issues in corporate, financial and real estate transactions. He helps Herrick's clients assess risks, negotiate environmental terms and commitments, secure environmental site assessments and insurance, and comply with environmental regulations. He represents clients in front of federal, state and local regulatory agencies on brownfield projects, remediation, Superfund, permitting and defense of violations. Mr. Evans also acts as environmental counsel to various developers, financers and property owners. He served as an attorney with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in the Environmental Enforcement Division, where he was responsible for enforcing New York State's solid and hazardous waste management laws and Superfund law. On several occasions, Mr. Evans was appointed special assistant attorney general in environmental criminal prosecutions. He also served as director of the division's eastern field unit, overseeing the department's enforcement program in New York City, Long Island and the lower Hudson Valley. Mr. Evans has spoken at numerous CLE programs sponsored by the NYSBA, including: Environmental Issues in Real Estate Transactions (co-chair), New York Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Update, and Environmental Law in the Age of Enron (co-chair). Mr. Evans earned his undergraduate from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Environmental Law Section). FRED GRUEN is a partner with the law firm of Gruen & Goldstein. His main areas of practice include representing developers, investors, banks, commercial landlords and tenants, real estate litigation and transactions. Mr. Gruen is a former New Jersey Deputy Attorney General. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Gruen earned his undergraduate degree from Colgate University, his LLM degree from New York University and his J.D. degree from Rutgers. NICHOLAS M. INSUA is an attorney at the law firm of McCarter & English, LLP, where he concentrates his practice on insurance recovery litigation, exclusively on behalf of policyholders. He has been an adjunct professor of law at Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, where he taught commercial law survey. Mr. Insua is the co-author of the book, "Business Income Insurance Disputes," which is a leading treatise on business income and insurance issues. He earned his B.A. degree from Yale University and his J.D. degree, with highest honors, from Rutgers School of Law. Mr. Insua is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association (Insurance Law Section), and the Morris County Bar Association. JAY L. LUBETKIN is a partner in the law firm of Rabinowitz, Lubetkin & Tully, LLC and a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee for the District of New Jersey, Region 3, Newark Vicinage. He is also a Chapter 11 Trustee by appointment from the U.S. Trustee's Office. In his capacity as Chapter 7 Trustee, he has administered more than 4,000 bankruptcy cases. Mr. Lubetkin concentrates his practice in the representation of all parties in interest in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, including the representation of corporate and partnership debtors, individual debtors, Chapter 11 Trustees, secured creditors, official committees, competing plan proponents, landlords, liquidators, and equity interest holders. He also maintains a substantial real estate, commercial litigation, and transactional practice. Mr. Lubetkin has lectured on bankruptcy related matters before the American Bankruptcy Institute, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and the Essex County Bar Association. He has written articles for The Bankruptcy Strategist and the Essex County Bar Association Chronicle, and is a co-author of a chapter in the New Jersey Bankruptcy Manual. He earned his B.S. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law. EDWARD S. RADZELY is of counsel with Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla. His main areas of practice include all areas of real estate including zoning and planning; construction; sales and acquisitions commercial and residential; low income housing-development and financing; environmental law; leasing-commercial and residential; mortgage financing; tax exempt bond financing; and title analysis. He was named as a New Jersey Super Attorney and a Top Real Estate Lawyer in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Region by New York Magazine. Mr. Radzely earned his B.S. degree from Brooklyn College, his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School, and his LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
