KAREN J. BORGSTROM is the director of the New Hampshire Judicial Branch's Office of Mediation and Arbitration. Before joining the court system, she practiced law in the Upper Valley for more than 13 years, focusing primarily on family law, elder law, employment law, entertainment law and alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Borgstrom is a certified marital mediator and is Chair of the Marital Mediation Certification Board. She also has worked as a volunteer mediator in the Superior Court Rule 170 program and as one of the approved mediators in the Probate Court mediation program. Ms. Borgstrom is a former president and vice president of the Grafton County Bar Association. She also has served on the Board for the New Hampshire Conflict Resolution Association. Ms. Borgstrom was the 2003-04 recipient of the Vermont Bar Association's Community Service Award. She is a graduate of Middlebury College and a graduate of Vermont Law School. Ms. Borgstrom is a member of both the New Hampshire and Vermont bar associations and the New Hampshire Association for Justice. Ms. Borgstrom is an adjunct professor at Vermont Law School. DAVID E. BUCKLEY is the primary shareholder of Buckley Law Offices, P.C. where his practice focuses mainly on civil litigation; criminal litigation; residential and commercial conveyance; business organization; business representation and business litigation; commercial collections; bankruptcy; and family, probate, and estate planning. Mr. Buckley earned his B.A. degree from Salve Regina University and his J.D. degree from New England School of Law. He is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association; New Hampshire Association for Justice; and the Nashua, Massachusetts and Northern Middlesex bar associations. DAVID C. GREEN is a sole practitioner in Nashua, where his practice is devoted to banking, real estate and bankruptcy and creditors' rights. He has lectured on Article 9 for the Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys. Mr. Green earned his B.S. degree from The Ohio State University and his J.D. degree from Yeshiva University. He is a member of the New Hampshire (member, sections on Real Estate and Probate) and American (member, sections on Real Estate and Business Law) bar associations. GREGORY E. MICHAEL is a member of the Manchester law firm of Wiggin & Nourie, P.A., where his areas of practice are real estate, municipal law and land use. He has spoken previously on topics related to his areas of practice, including presentations for the New Hampshire Municipal Law Lecture series. Mr. Michael earned his B.S. degree from the University of New Hampshire and his J.D. degree from the Suffolk University Law School. He is a member of the New Hampshire, Massachusetts and American bar associations, and the New Hampshire District and Municipal Court Judges Association. Mr. Michael served as president and chairman of the board of the National Auctioneers License Law Officials Association. CONNIE L. RAKOWSKY is the interim executive director of Legal Advice and Referral Center, Inc. and has a private alternative dispute resolution practice. Ms. Rakowsky's ADR work is benefited by her 26 years of private practice lawyering at the Orr & Reno law firm where she focused on commercial, business and nonprofit clients in a wide range of industries at all stages of growth and decline. Extensive training and experience in mediation from her years serving on the probate, superior court and federal court panels provides a broad perspective that is key to successfully resolving complex disputes. Ms. Rakowsky earned her B.A. degree from Northwestern University and her J.D. degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. DOUGLAS A. THORNTON is a sole practitioner in general practice of law with a concentration on consumer bankruptcy. Mr. Thornton was an associate in the firm of Shapiro and Kresiman, representing regional and national mortgage lenders and servicers in foreclosure, bankruptcy and related matters. He is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and is a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law.
