DAVID M. GEIER is a partner with the Bartle & Geier Law Firm where he has a general civil practice with an emphasis on litigation and trials. He is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association and is a former member of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys (chair, District 1Committee on Inquiry). Mr. Geier is admitted to practice in Nebraska in both state and federal courts and before the U.S. District Court of Appeals, 8th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Nebraska. MICHAEL W. PIRTLE is a director of Gross & Welch P.C., L.L.O., where his main areas of practice are civil litigation, insurance defense, mediation and arbitration. Mr. Pirtle is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, including its House of Delegates where he served as Chair from 2007-08. He is also a member of the NSBA's Advisory Committee, Nominations Committee, Civil Practice & Procedure Committee and Judiciary Committee. Mr. Pirtle is frequently appointed by the Nebraska Supreme Court to serve as a referee in attorney discipline cases. He is also a member of the Omaha Bar Association, Nebraska Defense Counsel Association, Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys and Order of Barristers. Mr. Pirtle is admitted to practice before the Nebraska Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court of Nebraska. He earned his B.A. degree from Midland Lutheran College and his J.D. degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law.
